Firstly hi all, im a es player, (been at this for about 4-5 days now), mostly ive had to anticipate what my team are doing without any chat or voice program and it seems to be really hard to find folk to squad up with me. At the time of writing this I have 600K ag, 400 au and about 850 of the fan y stuff (used to buy magnums etc). I am just asking for any tips or suggestions for gameplay in general, how to convince others to squad up (I am as yet not looking for a clan) and perhaps if folk have the time, on my garage. Thankyou all in advance.

Copy pasted from my other post. Hope it is relevant lol.
Weapons in general: 1. Noricums are useless 2. Zenits ain't any better 3. Spirals aren't too useful either 4. Gekko...well, no need to rush getting those
Weapon traits: 1. Missiles (piñata, crv, orkan, tridents) have splash (AoE-area of effect) properties, find out more about these
Bots in general: 1. Destrier are beginner bots, don't place any serious emphasis on them 2. Schultz is irrelevant 3. Cossack...well the opinions here defers. Personally, I don't encourage it 4. Understand more about physical shield and energy shield properties of bots
The general concept of weapons mix on any bot is to have similar type (e.g. all plasma, or all missiles) AND similar range (e.g. 350m range) for optimum efficiency in delivering damage. So try to avoid long range and short range weapon on same bot.
There is no best set up...one type counters the other.
MORE IMPORTANTLY, MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND HOW THE GAME IS WON OR LOST (hint : beacons, domination bar, timer and meching out)
Too lazy to explain many other things, I'll leave those to the tonnes of pros here.

Basically speaking: Buy Orkans, buy Tarans, Griffin is the best bot in the game for silver. After 2 Orkans, get 5th slot, after that, come back here.
Best low level builds: Patton with 4 Pinatas Boa with Thunder/Punisher
Best average/high level builds: Leo 3 Pinatas/1 Thunder Griffin 2 Tarans/ 2 Magnuns Griffin 2 Tulumbas/2 Pins Griffin 2 Orkans/ 2 Pinatas

Schultz is irrelevant?
At this level, a thunder shultz is one of the most powerful bots in the game. Yes it won't make it out of silver but you can definitely level a thunder which will be usable later on.
As to the given hanger. It is a very long range setup. Get a second patton instead of the destrier and arm it with 4 pinatas. Replace the golem with a boa and arm it with a thunder, and when you can afford it get a taren for it.
Save gold for your 5th slot.

Personal opinion.

Replace the golem with a boa and arm it with a thunder, and when you can afford it get a taren for it. Agree on the Boa. At current level a Boa/Thunder or two will take you far. I would replace the Destrier first though. Weapons-wise it depends on how you play and there are lots of good advice given above. A Golem, Patton and Boa hanger will give good possibilities. Go for Leo or Griffin when you are ready to go to heavy bots.

You need to balance the hanger. To much range, and no effective knife fighters. I would start by dropping the destrier for a thunder pinata Leo. That will cover your close range needs the quickest. The boa is another good way to get more close range quick. Once your hanger is more balanced 50/50 close range, you will have more luck squading as no one wants to squad with a hanger full of campers.

I'm noticing no one has mentioned weapons ranges. Try to keep your weapons ranges similar to each other when equipped to the same bot. Mixing long and short range weapons = not as good as matched range weapons from my experience. Edit: By the way, welcome to the forum and may all robots melt before you!

I'm a bit rusty in euro broken English, but I'll give it my best shot.
a) Remove Destrier for Cossack. Cossack is better completely, put Punisher Mk2 on Cossack and it will be better than Punisher. b) Don't mix range of weapons. For example, on your Golem, Kang Dae, Tulumbas and Spiral all have different ranges (1100, 500, 600 metres in order). Try to keep ranges the same.
These weapons are the same families: Plasma: Magnum, Taran, Thunder 300m: Piñata, Orkan, Thunder Rocket: Pin, Tulumbas, Trident Punisher: Punisher Mk 1&2 + Thunder Molot: Molot Mk 1&2 + Zeus Archer: Spiral, Hydra, Zeus Long range: Gekko, Trebuchet
Try to only use weapons of the same family for each bot.
3. Remember that beacons win the game. At the top of game screen, there are red and blue bars that smaller slowly. When these bars are nothing, the other team wins the game. Capturing the beacons makes the bar small faster.

Sorry I am hijacking OP's thread but why is it bad to mix weapon ranges? Won't mixing mean you can hit something from far then go into Knifing if you need to? If you're a pure knifer, you can't even scratch the snipers standing on raised platforms 900m away..

Mixing ranges means a 'bot can do a little bit of all ranges and nothing well.
To do significant damage you need to specialise.
Range determines play.
If short range you manoeuvre to get into range / ambush etc and unleash the lot to do high damage / destroy the enemy and capture beacons If medium range you are supporting your team mates / suppressing / capturing beacons If long range - especially at low levels - you aren't doing much of anything at all in the damage stakes and are likely to be perched somewhere away from the heat of battle
Each range benefits from a different game play.
Back to the OP: First and foremost have fun! Experiment a little to find what you enjoy.
Do not obsess to the exclusion of all else on what you may theoretically want in you hangar when everything is levelled up to max. It is a very long way away and by the time you get there the only thing you can say with confidence is it will be different to what people are saying it is now.
I would buy 2 Orkans before the 5th slot.
Buy and use a Cossack. Now. It is very unlikely you will still be using it in a few months time when you have progressed, in the meantime it is a really fun and effective Ag 'bot that can be levelled up at modest Ag expense. I think you would regret not playing it now far more than you will ever lament the Ag and time you spent upgrading it when the theoretical time comes when it is no longer competitive.
And last and most important: have fun! It is a game not a career that requires an end point where you have the "perfect" hangar for top tier, and anything you upgraded on the way that did not make that hangar is a waste.

If you're a pure knifer, you can't even scratch the snipers standing on raised platforms 900m away.. Yes. But if you get in range you'll finish them quickly. You need those maulers to capture and defend beacons. Any long range setup will not stop a single determined robot trying to get to a beacon or to your spawn point. To combat snipers, employ your own snipers. Nashorn Molot Natasha is the best setup for low levels. But most players at low levels are better off using at most one mid ranger (RDB Griff) and no long range setups. Early on those knifers will allow you to do a lot of damage (and earn silver), and you know your stuff you'll be able to get those snipers shortly into the game.
