Power Cell Usage Tips
People have come to refer to Power Cells (pcs) as ‘green crack’ due to bad habits of usage that are reported as creating an addiction and dependency that weakens their tactical abilities or skills. If you do not have a personal set of usage rules, and just use them constantly and often wastefully, you can call it green crack and you’re an addict. There’s an alternative though.
Imo it is not that big a deal to set up rules for ourselves about free power cell use. I don’t see the use of the 40pc modules an issue when your rule is to use it sparingly and in pre-decided situations and to simply enjoy its use for those times you decide to use it. Bad habits of use are not good but these are easily avoidable by having personal usage rules. I have never and will never spend rm on pcs. So here are some useful examples of rules I have that help me conserve pcs as well as my non-pc piloting skills. I nearly never run out if that says anything about my approach to this.
- I only use free pcs Ive won - I don’t always use them in battle - I look at the game timer and beacon bar, and don’t use a mod at the end of a match unless it is critical for the win. - Be careful of your placement on the screen so as not to unintentionally activate the module. This is obviously harder for you weirdos who play War Robots on tiny phones. - If your team is getting steamrolled, don’t use mods at all. Just get damage and be done with it. - If you are the last bot left and fighting multiple enemies don’t use mods. - Come up with a plan for each module youre using and how you will and will not use it in battle - Dont activate the module if your hp is low and you are about to die - Find ways to pilot tanks that do not depend on excessive use of Advanced Health Kit. - Use Death Mark sparingly. For example, only use it against tanks, or on a really good player who continuously presents a serious threat to you and your team - Dont waste pcs activating the mod as a knee jerk reaction against any threat - Find ways to reduce pc waste by watching enemy ability & module cooldowns more carefully - Quartermaster pilot skill reduces pc cost of each use by 25%. Buying PCs is a temporary fix (which I never do). This pilot skill is a locked in cost savings that will always save on PC cost, as is having personal usage rules. - Don’t always rely on pcs, but frequently do combat without using the active modules so your pilot skills stay refined - Use freely earned/won pcs according to personal usage plan. Dont use active modules by paying gold to activate; if you are out of pcs, playing without the active modules until you win more free pcs will help you refine your tactical skills
There is obviously a lot more that can be said when you get specific, but I will leave that to each of you for tactical decisions based on your own hangars.
If you do what I say, you will never or almost never run out of power cells. Go ahead, repeat after me: “I will do what Ogre says”
Lmao

I reeeeeeaaaaalllly need to set some of these ground rules for myself. After some long nights of heavy squadding esp versus tougher clans, I find myself having to cough up some gold. Usually its on the long champion crate grind which has a nice crack reward at then end though. But looking at this slow demand creep of higher and higher crack costs per usage, times are going to tough because there's no increase in supply.

There’s an alternative though. My understanding is: "Green" is coming from the Healing module: When it's been activated, there is a green glow scanning your bot vertically while the bot is re-gaining health, hence green crack.

I only use them if it will secure a win for my team. If we are way up or way down I don't bother. If it's a close match I'll burn some.

I pretty much follow those rules.
But also if it means taking down a Fairy or Au Junk because that is what I live for and every little bit helps.

Mine is this (all 4 have to be a yes):
1. Full vs full 2. losing 3. towards the end 4. it will actually make a difference (most of the time, it WILL NOT)

Idk how you guys have the willpower to just die to a Ao Jun or stealth bot when you can use PC and win the engagment.

Idk how you guys have the willpower to just die to a Ao Jun or stealth bot when you can use PC and win the engagment. Simple. We analyse the situation with a rational mind and decide whether it is worth spending PCs to win that particular engagement vs dying and spawning into something else to exact our revenge. Making short term impulsive decisions like spamming our PCs at every opportunity is just not us.

NOW.....if you are "made of money" and have nothing better to do with it, these rules don't apply to you.
Use all the green crack you want...
Your bots/weps/pilots/modules are already maxed out...why not take absolutely no damage in a battle.

Good stuff. Defy the drug pusher (Pix) by using some common sense and self discipline. And also eat your veggies ?

Perhaps another rule: only use PCs when you are running full boosters (damage, armor and resource boosters).

When they introduced PC, I read on the forum I should use 30pcs/battle to never run out of them. So, I try to use only one ability in a game, and now I have over 50000PCs. I still stick to "one in a game" rule, and I often don't use anything because there was no reason. Some of my rules:
Phaseshift on Brawlers: -Use it ONLY if it will save my bot, and I'll be able to use my bot later (deal a lot of damage). This especially applies to shotgun Nemesis, but I hardly ever use PC for that. -Due to the fact I have a lot of PC, I often use Phaseshift when my Ao Jun takes the center beacon in Yamantau Beacon Rush.
Quantum Radar on Dragoon Bulwark -I use it only if I know I'll be able to deal full blast on target. That means target is visible (Ao Juns in the sky) and Dragoons are reloaded
Advanced Healing on Weyland -I use it to survive extreme attacks, such as Ares, if I have a lot of possible HP to heal. With over 35000HP/s, my Weyland is invincible for that few seconds. And even if I won't survive, I'll get +150000dmg for healing. Pay to win button for sure.
Other rules: -I may use more PC if it's critical endgame -I may use more PC if I'm squadding with clanmates

People have come to refer to Power Cells (pcs) as âgreen crackâ due to bad habits of usage that are reported as creating an addiction and dependency that weakens their tactical abilities or skills. ................you can call it green crack and youâre an addict. My understanding is: "Green" is coming from the Healing module: When it's been activated, there is a green glow scanning your bot vertically while the bot is re-gaining health, hence green crack. That is how it all started.....today, it involves spending PCs for any active module......of which there are many, and more coming our way. 1100 gold for 3,000 hits (PCs) is a premium price for the P2W or pay to compete crowd. Just Say No! Or, say 「fluffernutter」 You, Pix!

Best part of this thread....how little many know/“get” addictive personalities......the first step is self awareness, and being self honest long enough to say My Name Is xxxxxx, and I’m an Addict.......
Most times, “hitting bottom” happens first. Say, having a pissed off wife due to spending, that’s one example......but, is it bottom? Again, a personal evaluation needed.
Good luck, one day at a time!
