Even though the Fire is Android based, it must be customized enough that it's not compatible with War Robots?
My kids have Fire tablets and it's a shame they can't play on them. ?

I was able to install Google Play on my Amazon Fire tablet by following instructions found on Youtube. However, the processor is simply not up to being able to power War Robots, and glitches all over the place in the heat of any fierce battle. So much in fact, that it renders the tablet unuseable, in my opinion. From research, you really need a proper tablet like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 with a 1gb or more of RAM to run it smoothly. To be fair, a Fire tablet can be bought brand new for about £40, and it's good value for that- just no good for heavy 3D processor draining games like War Robots.

I play War Robots Android version on my Kindle Fire HD 8 every single day for hours at a time. Only glitches I ever see are the same server problems everybody experiences. The device handles the game beautifully. Processor does get hot, but not to the point you can't hold the thing. Couple people have mentioned now that they can't find War Robots on Amazon App Store, but it's always there for me, so not sure what that's about. You're better of with Android version, though, as Amazon server population is very small and everybody, beginners and advanced, get tossed into the same battles. The one upside, if you intend to buy gold, is thzt Amazon players get nice discounts on in-game purchases. One thing to keep in mind is that you cannot put both the Amazon and Android versions of War Robots on your Kindle at the same time. And War Robots aside, I highly recommend all Kindle users install Google Play. I followed this guy's instructions and it was incredibly easy.

I'd like to clarify that the $50 Kindle fire doesn't have War Robots because it doesn't meet requirements to play it. It's the HD models that have access to War Robots and can seamlessly play the game
HD doesn't just means pixel count, it's also a hardware/software upgrade

Do you have any issues with the thumb controls while playing? I ask because I recently bought a Fire HD 8, installed Google Play and installed War Robots, but am having issues with controls. Clicks, scrolling, swipes all work fine, but touch and hold for the controls (to walk, rotate and even fire weapons) is sporadic at best. I’ve read about others having the same issues, so looking for any answers to correct this. I’ve tried the screen sensitivity booster app with no luck. It’s a shame because the game works flawlessly and runs great, but other players must think I’m lagging out by looking at my movements. lol

We have 4 Kindle Fire tablets. War Robots wouldn't run on one, runs OK on the second and third but suffers from frequent disconnects, and runs great on the fourth. The first is an older model and the other three are 2017 HD models. All four have the Google Play store installed.
So overall I would say YMMV with a Kindle Fire. It may work fine or it may have problems. Not terribly helpful I know, but if playing War Robots on your tablet is a priority then a Kindle Fire may be a gamble.

I apologize to the community for my behavior and to those I have caused inconvenience, hurt, or damage by responding to this old thread. By my actions I have thoughtlessly caused many people to waste their time by reading old information which my or may not still be relevant or useful to them.
It is incumbent upon me as an individual to verify that a thread is not old before replying and in that regard I have failed in my duty. I accept full responsibility for my actions. Going forward I intend to be more vigilant in my examination of threads before commenting. However, I also acknowledge that I am an imperfect individual and may fail again. In the event that I again reply to an old thread, I will slap myself in the face 7 times as punishment. I hope this appeases your desires for justice and can bring some closure to you during this time of great personal suffering.

I appreciate the info Styro. After reading up a bit more today it seems that this is only an issue with the fire 8, but only 50/50 because some do actually work.
I did realize I was replying to an older post, but with fire hd 8 mentioned,I figured I'd just go with it. I suppose I could have made a new thread asking if anyone had the same issue and if they managed to correct it, but then we'd miss out on Styro's hilarious reply. ?

I'm going to dredge this post back up being it's Christmas and people have bought tablets and such. I could have started another thread but there is relevant info in this one.
I just bought two Amazon fire tablets for my kids and of course, first thing I checked for was warrobots. I found it in the Amazon store easily. I downloaded it on both devices and it plays marvelously! Much better than my Samsung Devices. Little to no lag.
My question is: I've read on this thread that fire plays on an android server, but it is not the same server as my main android account. The champs on this server have level 9 hangers and I can hold my own against them with a day old account and a RDB Griff bone stock.
I was wondering if anyone knows what server this is. It's so much fun playing on the fire on this server. I'm going to buy another fire for myself to build an account on this server.
Edit: I just read the post by tonyfla. That answers my question. The Amazon server must be new. Yes they do bunch champs with beginners but it really isn't bad if you have experience playing. Game load up is quick as well. A silver hanger will take you far on this server

My Kindle was a Christmas present from 2013. It still plays War Robots well and I very rarely get disconnected.

This thread grabbed my attention, as I played daily on Amazon Fire until this January. Then I got an iPhone and started playing on that instead. For 2.5 years I played on the Fire. So I didnt want it to stop being able to do War Robots. May go back to it sometime. Fire was where I first found and played War Robots.
