Hi guys, I am after some advice from spring field experts. I used to skip yamantau immediately because I don't have a solution of the mid range meta. But recently I started playing yamantau and started skipping Springfield if I spawn in the city side corner because I believe it is the most unfair map in the war robot world. Well I would like to think otherwise and start playing the map again so I'm seeking help on attack strategy as a team. If I spawn in the city side corner, I face the issue with where to go. 1. I can go and grab the other city side beacon. But by the time I get there, red should already have 3 riverside beacons and I don't know where to go because going to the farm is too dangerous as it is the red spawn area. But going across to the riverside middle beacon is exposing for the whole duration of the trip and often I die before getting there from multiple attacks from multiple angle. 2. I can otherwise grab the riverside high rise beacon. But often then the red will then grab the city side beacon on their end since I chose the riverside high rise beacon. And they should then be easy to contest for the riverside high rise beacon because they have cover coming over. But again we don't have cover running there. 3. Plus if we grabbed both city side beacon and riverside high rise beacon, our team is so spread out and is easy to be picked off. In fact the problem IS crossing the riverbed for the city side team.because riverside owns 3 beacon and city side is under pressure and often it is the city side having to cross the riverbed to attack. Where the riverside often gets a good full Salvo on every opponent crossing from the city side before contest begins. So say you spawn in the city side, what will you do? (leave map is not an option, because that's my current strategy

I usually go the long way round using one of my Plasmahads. When I lose th se, I still got my one or two Midrange to either support a center beacon attack or go for this beacon myself. The were games where we even got to the Reds Spawn area.
Generally speaking I believe that Springfield may be more challenging in this case but with a good team, you can always win.

We at Aurora Nova have set strategies for every map, but it's exclusive to only clan members. I could tell you, but then one of us would have to die.

I asked the same thing here: war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/thread/3395/strategy-on-springfield and got some very good advice. Assuming you are not the Fury - I usually start this map in Galahad or Griff. If you spawn farm, and they spawn city, get the center beacon, and then make sure you or someone is getting the far dam beacon. If you spawn city, and they spawn farm, I grab both city beacons, and then try to push across the river at which of the 3 beacons has the fewest reds between farm, dam, and center. Either way, its a lot of ground to cover. This one in particular helped me a lot. I used to try to do everything and in the end i ended up doing nothing, but after narrowing down my targets i had some success with either Farm or City spawn. Of course you need at least somewhat competent temmates. I believe this map rewards teamplay the most.

But unfortunately once I have grabbed the other city beacon. I get stuck not able to push through the riverbed. But running flanking side with team mate is probably worth a try.. Either way city side will sacrifice more bots attacking that's for sure. I strongly recommend all reds NOT to buy the 5th slot please!

Consider running a knifer straight toward center beacon. You can get pretty far by heading out before their mid-range gets in position. There will be a ton of reds after you there, but the longer you can distract them, the better chance your teammates have of pushing the high rise beacon.
Another option, after they've taken the 3 farm side beacons, is to push up the far edge of the farm side. This will often tie up several reds and give blues a chance to push center.

A wide swing toward the farm spawn beacon sometimes pays dividends - riverbed and a couple buildings provide cover part way, and if red is setup to cover center they have to backtrack to contest their spawn beacon, leaving center and high dam beacon defenders uncovered. Of course if your teammates push for them and kill a few bots you're facing a swarm of respawned reds, but last as long as you can over there and the distraction helps the rest of your team consolidate the defense of what they have turned. This tends to work when there are only slow snipers in the area to begin with - they take so long to get over to the beacon that you may be able to grab it. I usually make this run with a galahad or gareth so I can afford a couple treb or zeus blasts to the shield on the way. Less effective against tridents, but a lot of times if you wait a few minutes into the match before trying the run the reds are so focused on supporting center or blasting the city bridge that you can get halfway there before they realize they're in trouble.

I have a pretty good win rate on Springfield (Yamantau not so much, still trying to figure it out). If you spawn near the dam, try to hold both dam side beacons and center. Forget about the other city beacon. This gives you a triangle position with clear lanes for your snipers a short walk from spawn.
If you start in the low buildings opposite the farm, it's rough. Take the farm, put constant cqb pressure on the city dam beacon, try to back cap the other dam beacon. Stay out of center. Good luck, you'll need it.

Beacons C,D,E are key. control/defend those beacons with mid range from the hill behind/near beacon D.
