After a couple days of Phantom bot gameplay, here is my reflection on it and my message to anyone who stumbles upon this review post:
FORGET ABOUT ARES AND AU JUN, PHANTOM KILLS THEM LIKE BUTTER.
Can you imagine, a bot with the speed of Loki, and the health of Invader, and with a super overpowered ability that lasts for almost 20 seconds while its cooldown time being only 10 secs? Its name is Phantom.
With anticontrol I was literally able to cut into the MK2 Ares trains group shield, melt their HP using shotguns and while they force to either Phaseshift or be on Last Stand, easily teleport back behind cover hunderds of meters away, and finish the job using the same process 10 seconds later.
I was literally able to kill a MK2 maxed out Invader 1 on 1 by teleporting twice losing only a quarter of my health.
I was literally able to do almost 2 million damage with that one single bot in less than 3 minutes EVERY SINGLE MATCH.
Again, forget about Ares, forget about the white dragons, and the much anticipated 4 heavy Behemoth the nightmare we have been having since the day of Spectres...
They are jokes compared to what a Phantom can do, the bot that has the speed of Loki and the health of Invader, the most powerful ability that lasts for almost 20 seconds with only 10 seconds of cooldown time.
Peace.

It's definitely a fun bot. I picked one up in the Superchest a couple of days ago. One thing that I was wondering about is whether AC is really necessary or not given its ability. I'm thinking that adding an armor module might be better. Do you really find AC is needed?

And it has something like 50% DR while skills is active?
Would love to get one to replace my strider, as much as I like it just doesn't cut it anymore.

Luckily, I've only seen one Phantom so far, a blue one, and I quickly lost sight of it. Bloody thing was fast and I was in my Pursuer!

I have won both a Phantom and a Behemoth. The Behemoth will never be used. Leveling up the Phantom starting tomorrow. I want to get some expensive stuff out of the way during Upgrade Overdrive. Already have the Halos and Corona. Can't wait to use it.
The Behemoth....why? Why release a sniper bot when we are going through the beginnings of Tank meta. I do not care if it has 4 weapons. Every tank out there will laugh at it. Useless bot to me.

Behemoth will be a non factor where you play, in Champions League. But I know people will level them in lower leagues to pick on non-meta bots.

Like I said, when fight against MK2 top clan squads multiple rotating Ares aka Ares train with Anticontrol I was literally able to rush into their shied and kill them like fish, without getting locked down it can literally run to the other side of the map in less than 15 seconds. But Im not here to give suggestions on how to play a "fun bot", it might be fun at first when its new, doing millions of damage every single match as easy as breathing, but I cant imagine the horror when clans start to run them in groups since there is NO WAY to counter it.

AC plus ares speed nerf makes even some of the older bots more viable. For example, pursuer. But with phantom's ability I imagine you can do some interesting things. For example, teleport and let them think you are back to safety, while you just teleport behind them and hammer them again. Center beacon capping is another.

I agree completely, don't know what's fun about this bot. But some people will take a great delight in parking this thing out of reach and fire their fluxes all game long. And either have their team pick up slack for them, or cost their team victory. I personally I don't even know why behemoth was introduced. It just encourages bad play.

I disagree. 4x Viper Behemoth, all at L12mk2, with the right modules/pilot skills, and positioned smartly will destroy tanky bots. I have both a maxed T-Falcon & a few Fenrir setups to compare. Of course, 4x Redeemers obliterate anything but cannot be positioned smartly! Also, sometimes trolling around breaks up the monotony so I sometimes use my Fluxes or, better yet, Zenits to keep enemy’s’ screens shaking. Too bad Chimeras suck too much!

I stopped running Ares & Ao Juns a while ago (maxed L12mk2s) and am happy that tanky bots are trending towards meta as long range setups make players think more than just moving directly towards their prey.

Why is every single Bot lately getting DR during its ability? Stupid feature.

On a somewhat tangential note, has anyone else seen weird stuff happen to your bots after running a Phantom? When I run a Phantom before an Ao Jun or Spectre, it seems to mess up the abilities of the bot. The Spectre jump is slow and not very high (about the height of an Ao X taking off) and is slow. The Ao Jun takeoff is also slow. Finally it seems like the Spectre's/Ao Jun's land speed is reduced. I've submitted a ticket to Pix but just confirming others see the same thing.

Peace. My lance got sawed in half like butter by it. I didn’t even bother to teleport. Felt like I was shooting a rock. In the other circumstances I fought it with s raijin and aweyland. The raijin eventually killed it , but only because it kept doing the same thing over and over. The weyland did well because it has vipers. None of the cases were good tho. The mushroom has what feels like Ao guang strength resistance. I hosed these thing with sone serious ammo. Way more than 30% implies. I suspect it’s tiny size makes punisher guns miss a lot. Not sure but that’s my suspicion

I've faced some maxed out mk2 phantoms recently, and they literally broke through into our spawn and slaughtered half of our team. NO JOKE

Camping = calculated decision making. Brawling = quick decision making. (Improvisation) The best brawlers calculate like Sherlock Holmes does (although not as movieliciously I suspect)

I’m looking forward to just camping on Yama with flux or trebs and just activating everyone’s last stand. Lol

The wiki doesn't have any stats on the Phantom. What is its HP pool at mk1 12 ? And movement speed?
