So this is my current hangar: I also have the following in reserve (mostly lvl 5 or 6): About 70mil ag, 4500 au and 15000 wsp Another lancelot 2 carnages A Gareth A rogatka 2 griffins A Leo 2 gepards Assorted silver meds and lights 3 tridents 1 trebuchet Another zeus 3 more aphids 4 gekkos 2 anciles 2 more tarans Assorted silver weapons Why so much premium junk? I spent too much money on the lunar event to amuse myself while recovering from surgery. The money I'd have spent on going out during that time went into video games, mostly this one. I actually got pretty lucky with my spins so I ended up with a far more Au value in gear and straight Au than if I'd just bought some gold. My 100 coins spins turned up lots of crazy stuff. So I got a whale's toybox on a porpoise budget. Gobs of gold and gold items but oddly, no wild west bot. Overall, my hangar feels fairly strong, mostly held back by low gear levels and perhaps an over-reliance on physical shield bots (splash is my bane). I've tried to balance my energy and splash but I'm a little heavy on energy right now. I occasionally replace one galahad with my gareth for light bot tasks. My carnages and tridents are leveling in the background for future use. Aside from simply continuing to level things up, I'm not really sure how to tweak my hangar to improve it and I'd like some advice from veteran players. My playstyle is probably best described as varied and fairly aggressive. I prefer to flank foes and grab loose beacons when I can (hence the galahads and griff) but I don't mind switching to mid (using zeus because lvl 6 tridents are underwhelming) or brawling. I have no experience as a sniper but I must admit I'm tempted to field one myself to hunt enemy snipers that drive me nuts. Thoughts, advice or suggestions? In particular, what should I spend those wsp on? 2 more trebs? A fujin? I'm a bit loathe to spend the gold with potential new bots coming (although I could probably find a home for one more orkan).

Hello,
Your hangar is looking very solid to me, and a good one to level up. Personally, I think the second Galahad is redundant, but I know top guys like Pete recommend Galahad highly, so take my advice with that in mind. I would bench one Galahad and put an ancile on the second Lance. Get that bad boy rumbling out there with tarans. Second option for super fun times is Thunder carnage. If neither of those intrigue you, I would then use a 2nd Griff, either DB or Aphid/Ork in place of the 2nd Galahad.
Just some thoughts. Enjoy the ride up as you level up!

Don't change a thing. I'm pretty sure your the only "cake or death" (which i LOVE the fact that you used that...). If this is true then I have witnessed you stomping the 「dookie」 out of players with this hangar. Myself included....

An ancile on the Lance. The second Galahad is Redundant. I recommend a thunder carnage

Solid hangar but you have too little splash. I suggest replacing the Zeus Fury with a Trident one.

I've yet to give the ancilot a spin so maybe I should. I just find the idea of having only 2 medium weapons on a bot that slow makes me balk. The Thunder does so much work on that thing. I ran a thunder carnage and zeus carnage prior to the ancile rebalance/fix. I liked them but found them kind of squishy. I read comments on the forums that carnies really start to shine around level 9 so my plan was to level them in the background until they're ready. I realize the second galahad can be redundant but I love its blend of speed and durability. I tend to lead with one gally and pull the second out for late game flanking or beacon grabbing. Maybe a thunder carny could fill that role. A second orkan griff? You don't think that would be redundant? I did enjoy my DB griff but the aphid orkan build is so much more flexible. I was considering toying with an ambusher griff (aphid/tarans).

Solid hangar but you have too little splash. I suggest replacing the Zeus Fury with a Trident one. I'm seriously thinking of doing that once my tridents gain a few more levels. Maybe I'll toss my zeuses on a carnage and field it as a second mid-range instead of the spare Plasmahad. My clan mates tend to run a lot of short-ranged builds so I could probably play a bit more mid-range to support their pushes.

A second orkan griff? You don't think that would be redundant? I did enjoy my DB griff but the aphid orkan build is so much more flexible. I was considering toying with an ambusher griff (aphid/tarans). I find that there is never a bad time to drop an Ork/Aphid Griff. I usually lead with mine, but it is also good mid game to brawl, late game to pressure beacons and fight for them, and even powerful enough to use in spawn defense scenarios. So two Griffs seem good to me. The second could be Taran/Aphid, or pure DB, as the Griff builds are so versatile. I find Galahad only shines for me late game, or when I need to kill an ancile bot. Gala used to be my starter in lower leagues, but now, starting with him on most maps leads to him becoming aphid/trident/orkan food before he gets many volleys away. Just my 2 cents. I run one Galahad half the time, and no Galahads half the time (in favor of 2 griffs). So two Galahads does feel redundant.

in my opinion, i think galahads are not good as it used to be at all. these days, there are too many people who uses tridents and orkans, so galahad is pretty much useless. if u want a bot with a shield, i would buy rhino and run it has PDB or DB.

Orkans are still a problem for Galahad. He is not always able to remain in the open pastures with ample space to run and frolic. Lots of Galahads get Orkan showers and die. Much easier to outjump Orkans in a griff than to set up and perform the perfect Galahad back pedal avoidance move every time.

I'm not a bad gally pilot (I think) but the terrain and situation often doesn't allow for the perfect moonwalk. I'm surprised people focused on tridents and orkans. I find the 500m rockets (tulumbas and pins) wreck my gallies more than anything else does. RDBs are a common and deadly threat.

I also vote for Ancilot. Maybe use orkans if you need more splash, I happen to like your zues fury and in the hands of a good pilot it is more useful than trident fury. Keep everything the way it is, replace second Galahad with trash can Lance and concentrate on leveling up. You have a TT hangar with that set up, and once leveled up, you will crush your competitors.

you have so much premium 「dookie」 that I am dead jealous of .... I wouldn't buy anything else at the mo given your inventory and play at tweaking what you have while leveling up... Personally I think Fury's are toss - if I had 5000Au I wouldn't buy one ... I would throw in a crazy build in place of the Furry to have a bit of fun

I indulged in getting one because honestly, I didn't have much else I wanted left to spend my gold on. Honestly, the natasha is a totally viable substitute for the fury for most build but the zeus fury is a blast to play, especially on the big maps where my lancelot struggles. They balance each other out well. I know trident furies are the popular meta but I find the short cooldown on the zeus encourages me to constantly roam looking for targets and firing angles. I could toss in something unusual instead of my second galahad, but what craziness should I indulge? A disco Patton? A missile griffin?

Here's the thing about beacons in top leagues, if you can't protect a beacon after getting it, you will lose. Many times I have seen players with 5 and more beacon grabs on the losing team because they mech out. Light and medium bots are squishy, the only medium I recommend other than Galahads, is carnage.

I run a very similar hangar: Plasmahad, Taran Lance, ADB Griffin, midranger, and another midranger in squads or knife fighter in solo play. That midranger is usually a Zeus Carnage, the second midranger a Trident Fury, the knife fighter another ADB Griffin. But I'm in fact experimenting with a Mag/Orkan Galahad here.
I guess Trident Carnage would be a nice addition if you feel you need more midrange. You could also try to use Tarans on your Lance, and use those Orkans on another Griff. But your hangar is fine as it is, these are just a matter of preference. (I change my hangar quite often, running some setups for fun.)

If you check the Legend League you'll see plenty of TT guys with two Lancelots. I've seen Ancilots paired with Thunder/Orkan set up. You have a solid hangar, in fact, its inspired me to pull out my other Galahad again. I'd love to get a lancelot, and I think thats my next purchase. My suggestion would be to check that Legend tab and see what those guys are slugging around. Two Lance's are not uncommon in that tier.

My suggestion would be to check that Legend tab and see what those guys are slugging around. Two Lance's are not uncommon in that tier. ^ But they are uncommon on guys with higher win rates... I often run a very similar hanger. Typically I'll run the Lancilot with an Ancile and Taran- makes it better for soaking up damage, makes you more effective contesting center, gives you the option of shielding Fury teammates on open maps. I often run the Griffin as a pure DB rather than Stuka. But are great but I find the DB does more damage in less time (doesn't last as long), this balances the Ancilot which lasts longer. I'll swap one of the Galahad for either a Plasma Griffin or a Plasma Gareth when I run the Fury Zeus. Both are better on tight maps than the Galahad in my opinion, so I switch to counterbalance the Zeus which is weaker. I'd sit on WSPs but you might need more Taran long term. If you want to flip the Galahad for Dash when they come they'll want 2x more each. While you may be light on splash in lower tiers I think you're fine or heavy in high tiers. Ancile are getting very popular- multiple times I've been charged by three of them as a group coming down the covered bridge on winter. Even thunders have trouble burning through, so energy is getting more popular, hence why I'm running the Zeus again. $.02

petevb: Plasma griffin, or Plasma Gareth? They do not even nearly serve the same role. How do you decide, what you need, not knowing, what map awaits you?

petevb : Plasma griffin, or Plasma Gareth? They do not even nearly serve the same role. How do you decide, what you need, not knowing, what map awaits you? I mix my hanger up and I don't set it for specific maps. And surprisingly I find they both have a lot of overlap. Both are highly mobile plasma platforms that can pick angles and get in close on tight maps. The Griffin will use jump against Orks, the Gareth will backpedal (fast enough to avoid Orks even shield up at medium range, so roughly as fast as a Galahad shield down, much easier to avoid Orks and even Pins at distance). I tend to use both to hunt Griffin. The Gareth takes longer... On open maps both use mobility to make opportunistic attacks and avoid mid-range rockets. The difference is that the while Griffin can't go for the far beacon it can much more effectively mix it up at center. So in my use they are not as different as you'd expect on paper.

petevb: I see... Well, I should give that some thought. I don't utilize the Plasma Griffin atm. For center beacon, I usually use a hellfire Rhino. Gareth for capping and harassing, obviously.
