Shields are flakey, while tulumba and orkan shreds Galahads easliy. My hangar consist of 4 Galahad. With the splash points of tridents almost renders the shield useless. Spent months on that hangar. 4 galahads and 1 Lancelot. Knights need a slight buff to hp and shields.

The galahad is still a very solid bot but it does suffer a bit in the current splash heavy mid-range meta (which in part evolved as a response to the britbots). There is a bit of a rock-paper-scissors effect with a galahad or any shield bot. Pick your battles. The shield is great but it isn't a universal I win button. The gally is fast, tough and dishes out decent damage. It's a flanker at heart.
Give it a little time and the meta will shift, especially if some forms of dash bot and the accelerated projectiles go live.

Well, OP shouldn't have bought 4 Galahads to begin with.

Yes the Galahad already had a buff, it's called an Ancilot. Sooo true - I cracked upon reading that. I take opportunity to lock target on Griffins or Carnages that are hiding behind the Ancilot and take them out before they figure out what's happening. |

The Gary is a great bot....I've enjoyed running mine. i finally got it up to 12 and it performs well against a lot of other heavy bots. The fact it doesn't do well with splash is known....nothing new. It is my capper and flanker and griff killer when the opportunity is right....but it is a fun bot to pilot.
Why buff it? The shield got a slight tweak down and the damage % was straightened out....but I don't think it has changed much since launch. It is one of the top reco'd bots....why does it need to be better?

This is definitely the first time I seen someone call for a Galahad nerf. A Galahad is a skill - based bot. When piloted properly, it is nearly invincible to everything except midrange splash.
You shouldn't be having a problem with Orkans, just backpedal them. And you have to learn how to bait and force midrange to fire before you run from cover to cover.
And why would you buy 4 Galahads to begin with? They cannot push center very well...

(-_-) I normally don't post on Necrothreads unless it's to call attention to the Zombieness of it all... but...
They don't need any sort of buff... IMO. 1v1, they can hang with a Taranancilot, and take down many bots bigger than they are. They are a Gold purchased Medium bot. Not one medium is comparable. Carny is the next closest... and maybe the Rog will be close after the buffs. The new Dash Mk 2 may be as good, but not better necessarily, we will see. So, they are already the top of their class... what else do you want???

Every bot has something that they are weak against... Galahads are weak against splash. It should not be changed.

Diversify your hangar. 4 galahads is a terrible set up. I am very glad that I didn't get a 3rd galahad when I originally wanted to. I do use 2 all the time, as well as a gareth and ancilot - but if two galahads aren't cutting it then it is very unlikely that a third is the answer. |
