If I receive a clan invite in game, is there any way to find out more about the clan before joining, other than the minimal info in the clan Profile? Or do I just have to join first and then after I find out more I can decide if I want to stay?

Check out their ID, then go to "Top Clans" tab, type in the ID and click search. Then click the "i" for the info.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm looking for more than what I get from the info in the clan profile. That just gives one sentence which isn't usually very helpful. I'm trying to find out more about the clan's members, play style, philosophy on upgrading, what tiers they target, etc. In other words, would I really want to clan with these players? I can't figure out any way to find out that kind of stuff other than actually accepting the invite so that I have some kind of way to contact the clan leader or other players. Since there's no way to send messages to other players. Just wondering if there's something I've missed. In this case, a google search for the clan I was invited by turned up nothing so I don't even know if they have a Facebook page or anything like that.

For our clan we use facebook page and instagram to share results of game.
Some clans even in top300 has very few but very powerful players. So i would rather look into idea clan following, maybe other important things like communication, timezone/country, language, habits and etc. How clan leader(s) empowering and taking care of his team and etc.
