I can visualize the responses to this thread already, and, for the record, I do not recommend using gold to hurry upgrades most times. That said, sometimes you need a bot/weapon now to squad with clanmates, or whatever. Anyway, the point of this thread is to point out that there is a "wrong" way to do this. These 2 screenshots were taken about 30 seconds apart. As you can see,the advantage to completing your current upgrade over rushing the new one is pretty significant. I thought some of you might find this interesting. Cheers!

Agreed, but remember that one of these costs silver as well as gold

As pointed put, one includes conversion of gold to silver as well (I think).
One thing I have noticed is that if you are waiting during the final minutes of an ugrade to start the next and are considering throwing a little gold at it for convenience, the gold shown as required does not automatically drop over time. If you have waited for 5 of the 10 minutes, for example, but can wait no longer, first back out of that dialog and then choose to start the new upgrade again. The new speed-up offer will reflect the current remaining time (5 minutes) instead of the original (10 minutes).

Yes, can confirm the straight gold upgrade is way more expensive b/c it is not charging u silver. I think it's a bad conversion rate too. Meaning it would be cheaper to buy silver w the gold and complete the upgrades in sequence than doing the straight gold purchase.

There is definitely a bad way to upgrade and a good way.
I'm at the level where I'm relatively happy with my hangar and will probably move forwards with the current weapons/bots. As I've said before, spending gold to finish an existing upgrade which will finish in the middle of my sleepy time or during work hours, can add quite a number of hours to the excessive upgrade times.

It's not always a bad idea to rush an upgrade. If you have the gold and silver, and know what you want, why not.

Yeah man, gold is abundant for a lot of peeps these days. I did the same as you, the longer the upgrade, the better ratio.
