My main gripe with the rhino is that is gets eaten alive by orkans and midrange (「gosh darn 」 trident furies), as well as skilled hydra or spiral gut punches. Its also not the most agile bot out there. However, I've been hearing that the PDB rhino is the best PDB out there (other that plasma Galahad of course) On the other hand, Griffin's jump looks inviting, and with the latest update to its health, a level 7 griffin only trades in 9k health from the rhino. So, ignoring all other bots, should I keep my rhino or get a griffin to put that plasma on?

PDB Rhino for the shield until Master, PDB Griff for the mobility past Master.

Plasma griff is more of an ambush bot. Plasma Rhino is more of a general supporting bot (that is more than capable of taking a hit if need be)

In the long run, PDB Griffin will go farther. Rhinos tend to get flanked a lot where a Griffin could jump while continuing fire.

Plasma Rhino. Plasma Griffin is food for Galahads. and plasma rhino is food for any meta bot with orkans equipped on it. Every bot has its strengths and weaknesses

A Plasma Rhino can actually defend itself against a Galahad. A Griffin cannot.

A Plasma Rhino can actually defend itself against a Galahad. A Griffin cannot. it may be able to 'defend itself', but ive never actually seen an equally levelled plasma rhino trump the Plasma Galahad anyway . Besides you conpletely disregarded my last post. That's like me saying that a plasma griffin can actually defend itself against a DB griffin and a Plasma Rhino cannot .

I was actually beaten by an LA Plasma Rhino in my Plasma Galahad. It wasn't fair, because it was 12/12 against a 6/8 but a Plasma Rhino will have a batter chance of survival against a Plasma Galahad.

The DB and PDB configurations on those 3 bots drives me absolutely insane. I am constantly changing with the idea that I set it up wrong or am using the wrong bot entirely. When you throw a twin Thunder Carney in the mix, it can have you awake at night trying to decide. I personally am running all three Griffs right now, the Carney and a Plasmahad. Don't even have room for my Aphids, <sigh>

A Plasma Rhino can actually defend itself against a Galahad. A Griffin cannot. Griffin can just jump away. If the fight is happening at 100m-200m, the jump will take the griff out of plasma/rocket range and hopefully other friendly bots would have the chance to nuke the Galahad with orkans/midrange. A rhino would just get flanked and killed.

I'm thinking galahad is the best option for plasma, with griffs as 2nd option, and rhino as a distant 3rd. As far s rhino setups go, I would recommend orkans and chain guns, that setup takes down energy shields while you close to orkan range. That will allow lance hunting in a pinch. The hybrid orkans with light plasma also works ok.

I was in this dilema because Rhino can speed up, so theoretically speaking he can cap beacons better than a Griffin on larger maps. But eh, go for Griff, hes better in almost every aspect.

I think griff is better too. I use two plasma griffs right now while 3 rhinos are shelved. The mobility saves you more often than the shield.

Associated questions for those who find PDB better on Griffin than on Rhino: PDB Griffin or Taran/Aphid Griffin? When?

PDB Griff as its mobility is a lot more valuable than the Rhino's shield in higher level play.
