hello everybody! my name is alex, i am from berlin (germany) (CET) and i run ingame as "spezialtüp"
after a short rendezvous with War Robots in november 2017 i started to play in january 2019 in a dedicated manner after purchasing an iPad. my current league is Expert III. i would like to develop some more coordinated playstyles. it would be awesome to know my fellow fighters, their characters, bots and talents when we enter the map together. we could switch roles during the match by bringing up certain bots in certain orders etc. - but any other form of an organized or just active clan will do it for me, too.
from the start i found myself as a passionate thunder carnage knifefighter actually, but i like supportive roles too. i consider myself as being generally a quite attentive, offensive and light-footed player (hovers, strider) and often i find myself doing jobs others seem to forget about or didnt manage to finish. (getting to the decisive beacons mostly)
my favorite bots right now are my two hovers, the scourge raven is growing stronger (and waiting for sparks) - but right now, in terms of having fun, my strider is king. however, when the fun is over i still use to pull my thunder carnage. i hoped for some thunder or carnage buff in 5.0 but unfortunately it just didn't happen.

the strider now has an exodus mounted and plus a heavy armor module (i got 5000 Au from a gold chest). this little thing is so much fun and btw becoming a serious threat. i even started to level up a second strider in the inventory ...thinking of a viper/shredder version. all this will take some time.  |

thank you deadmarsh! yes, i was having a look there every now and then and i replied to two older posts but nothing happened so far.
i wonder if it would make sense to leave my current low-key clan in hope of getting an ingame invite and/or by making ingame requests myself ...? |

Sending an in game requests isn't a bad idea. I'm not sure if dropping your current to lose the tag is worth it but if you're not benefiting from them now then I guess it doesn't matter.

This is my first time seeing this thread... Just want to say that your hangar has progressed well. As I was reading down I was noting which things I would offer advice on, and the next Hangar SS would show it fixed. There are still a couple of things that could be changed to help you, moving forward, yet it's a far cry from where you started with the thread... nice work! Just a couple of questions... I know this was a thread about a clan but I am genuinely curious... we can go to PM if you want to keep this thread clean... just let me know and I will edit this post to reflect your wishes! Anyway... Do you have any more light weapons that you are planning on getting? If so, what? Things I would focus on if it were me...*Replacing the Aphid with something more helpful for Scourges... Hell, if it were me, I'd switch the Aphid and Blaze right now... Lock on weapons like the Scourge allow you to aim flamers better, and aphids and Orks are usually pretty good friends. (Two of my favorite old skool builds are the Ork/Aphid Griffon and Ork/Aphid Galahad.) But no matter what, there are a lot better light weapons that would work with those Mediums. Conversely, you could go with Vortecies and keep the Aphid... Apex Hover is one of the better Aphid/Vortex builds due to the Hover's ability to get such awesome angles. *Replacing the Pinatas on the Strider... Pinatas are just not good. They help with Orks or the Exo, sure, but man there are much better things to spend resources on than them... that can work with a lot more builds in the future. Gusts are the first sorta cheap weapons that come to mind. Punishers maybe, too. Shredder or Halo if you have the resources and/or grind time... etc. In fact, I ran an Exogust Strider for a bit... it was pretty brutal. The Gusts allow for more firing time and help you drain any shields before shooting the Exodus, too. *I would seriously focus on a pair of Avengers for the Carnage... or for a future Bully or Ao Jun or whatever else may spark your interest if you are going to replace it (not that I am suggesting it, there are more and more folks doing OK with Carnages nowadays... so if you like it, use it!)
Just my thoughts... I know they may be superfluous if you already have plans for all that. If so, just tell me to mind my own business

hey, that's great. welcome to my clan search thread then, haha.
i appreciate your thoughts and advices from a more experienced perspective very much, as i feel i am still quite a newbie. i had a very helpful conversation about my hangar with Koalabear a few weeks ago on my 'introduce yourself' page and i actually followed some of his advices. yes, you're absolutely right, i am still in need of better light weapons.
at the workshop i am currently working on a halo (3160 parts) and a shredder (5290 parts) and most importantly a spark for the scourge hover. for the last weeks i thought i would soon be simply buying a spark as i really need it but so far all offers seemed just too expensive (22 € for a single spark coming with some alibi amount of gold). until i finished my first vortex last week i had no empty slot left ...so that spark at the WS right now is still a baby at only 640/10000. i recently won another shredder by pulling a gold chest but i found no time to level it up yet. i was thinking of a viper / shredder setup for my second strider. unfortunately each item, (the strider, both shredders and the viper) will be demanding big time ressources. ("big time", literally)
* IMO the blaze with orkans is an improvement: when the orkans eventually start spitting, the blaze just keeps on broiling which often makes a decisive difference (or it lets me retreat) - plus, it increases the orkans' actual damage on ancile bots. the aphid is throwing out its missiles around two times during a scourge's full clip unloading time, and that second smack by the aphid at the end of the clip often is quite satisfying. that's why i kept it with the scourges for now.
* the tridents are my current long range substitute for canyon and yamantao and across the riverbed on springfield, and it serves me well. often i am collecting 2-4 kills at the end of a match with them. ...interestingly, sometimes it seems as if that inconspicuous carnage just doesn't get noticed at all. but if i owned a bulwark of course i would rather use that one, preferably with dragoons, i guess, which btw i am working on as well (4860/10000) * i tried gusts on my strider, both on level 7, and while i know (too well) how ridiculously powerful they are at close range they strangely seemed not as effectful to me so i put on the pinatas again. probably i should give it another try as this was only a feeling, an impression from a short testing phase.
* yes i would love to run two strong avengers with the carnage!.. but right now my upgrading capacity (and my Au) is just at the limit.
