Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm FOXY!!! So, before the MM/League craziness, there was a Boa bandwagon thing going on around here... Then a lot of people went running to the pawn shop and dumped their brickfighter arsenals for bigger builds. I was wondering how many gave up on Ms. Nasty and how many of you are Thugbot lifers like me? And, in the spirit of DirtyLikaRat®, I have named my freshly painted Boa "Foxy Brown"

Even Big Bad Wolf can blow a brick fighter down.

I'm still running my Boa. It melts down a lot faster these days, but it's way faster than my Leo and has almost as many hp. I'm saving gold for orkans so I can beef up its damage potential versus the Taran. Although the Taran is no slouch either.

I played 70 matches last week in 4 of those little 「dookie」 boxes... naturally they were fresh purchases and silver fit for most of them (55 of them to be exact).
For some reason they become my primary target now when I see them.

I had taken my bricks out of the hangar just before the MM change when I was trying to transition into Gold with a nearly all-Griffin hangar. Long story short, they're back in my hangar, now at 8/8. It felt like finding my favorite pair of shoes and realizing they still fit.
...and yes, they're happily wrecking faces that are 1-3 levels higher with weapons 2-4 levels higher. They're also zippy little bricks at that level, matching or outrunning everything of a comparable class or higher. So now in addition to being good ambushers they're good ambushers that can move right back into position ASAP. Sooooo excellent.

Still run my Boa's lvl11 and little brother lvl 10. Especially when the daily task involves medium Robots. Can always count on them to help get it done. Different strategy than long ago, but they still pull their weight.

I love my boa. Matter of fact the German bots are my favorite as a whole. If I could run up in Diamond league with all German bots I would in heartbeat.

My daughter is 11 years old and plays. She LOVES playing a 4 Boa hangar. She runs all the same. Big thunder, big Tulumbas. Her favorite tactic is to sneak up on someone and literally pin them to a wall and THEN mash the red button. Hilarious when she pulls it off. She also insists that she wants to sit a Boa on a Griffin's head before it hits jump to see what happens, so she *might* be more about the fun than effectiveness.

If/when you ever move up to heavies but want to get a lot of the same rush of hurting someone (real bad) try death button rhinos. You can charge up to most things and unload a lot of ordinance in a very short time. It's different though because the orkan/boa requires a lot of maeuvering and gunning while you maul the opponent over about 10 seconds. For the DB rhino by the time you are shooting, most of your maneuvering is finished and they are usually maimed in about half the time. Then you either have an escape route, or you stick around with your shield up (possibly pursuing them) while you get enough orkans to finish them. Although the more costly but also most similar heavy replacement is the orkan/thunder Lance.
IMO, The Boa is fantastic but the more TT Furys you face the more it will frustrate you for what it does.

I still have them. And hey, now the weapons don't pop off!
Used to be you knew you were starting to take some damage when a weapon popped off, and that you were down to 25% health and needed to be careful when the second one went.

Nice to see I'm not alone!
Mine is at 8/9 and it totally holds its own in Android Gold III. It's the first bot I drop on every match, regardless of the map.
Granted, it's not the same as when I ran it in the old silver tier. As I progress, I've found it's best to use the buddy system. Once the match starts, I scan my team and pick a partner. Lancelot makes a good friend, also Thunder Carnage or a DB build. Strength in numbers!
I had a match yesterday where I teamed up with two Thunder Carnies and we roamed around DC wrecking anything that got in our way. Imagine rounding a corner to see 5 Thunders and an Orkan pointing at you... from behind a double ancile!

so she *might* be more about the fun than effectiveness. I think she might be playing this GAME better than most of us here....

IMO, The Boa is fantastic but the more TT Furys you face the more it will frustrate you for what it does. I see multiple TT Furies in almost every game. What the Boa lets me do is leave myself exposed for a very short time, not worry about taking a few hits if I want to approach, and maul the face of anyone who thinks a slow, lumbering bot was going to deter me while I took out his buddy.

I remember a match in DC where I was piloting a Griffin and had a GTFO moment... I changed direction and pressed the jump button to escape... totally didn't see the friendly Galahad right next to me. Next thing I know, I'm airborne with the Galahad along for the ride! Pretty funny from my perspective. I can only imagine what the Galahad pilot was thinking, hahaha!

So you're saying your a Boa may be more suitable to run down TT Furies than a DB Rhino? I have a level 8 Boa sitting in my spare hangar and could knock the dust off.
