i actually leveled my RDB/Griff up to level 7/10 and mothballed it for some reason. Well thats a lie because was I was using my Carnage with Zeus and Tridents both at level 9. I am using it more because i am starting to love it. It delivers a bigger punch than the other two (i know the reload sucks) but that allows to take a good chunck of health off or kills a few weak bots. I notice the top league guys ALL have TT Furies so I believe the RDB is just a stop gap(all be it a long one) to get to that point. I am wondering how effective are Tridents Vs RDB set up or are they just under leveled at this point and should I invest the money in leveling them up?

Trident Fury is better than a Russian Griffin. I prefer a Zeus Carnage over a Russian Griffin and a Trident Carnage, but not over a Trident Zeus Trident Fury

I love my zues but its good for racking up damage but over a ton of shots to do it.

If your post is asking if RDB is worth leveling... Then I say yes. RDB is still a good build. TT Furies are easier though, prolly why you see more of them. Point... shoot... Hide or shuffle around. Rinse, repeat. Whereas with an RDB, you have a whole new dimension of play... vertical. Personally, my Fury Hate is strong right now, and, even while owning one and enough Zeuses and Tridents to equip it with either setup... I refuse to use it. RDB is one of the alternate builds I still like to use, instead. Maxed out, they have similar damage, but Trident is 600m, and larger splash... I think (the splash radius may have been nerfed recently but I don't know if that is a rumor or not). So as far as comparison, tridents are the better weapon. However, if you are a good Griff pilot... that jump can make up for it.

Whereas with an RDB, you have a whole new dimension of play... vertical. A Fury might be easier to use, but IMHO it's the harder bot to use well. On tight maps in particular it can be very hard to positively impact the game with, while on open maps newer players often spend too much time in it. I find the RDB Griffin easier in comparison, both in terms of finding the right balance of aggression and in terms of gameplay. RDB on Power Plant- simply pick a building to hide behind outside 350 meters and prairie dog all game. You will find Top players who prize mobility and flexibility sticking with the RDB Griffin however. It is effective on every map, and rewards a more aggressive attacking style. The Fury is more defensive, and works best in a structured team with support around it. Personally I tend to run the TT Fury, or the Tulu Doc/ Zeus Carnage if I want more mid range mobility. All of these have higher DPM than the RDB, which is the main reason most Top players eventually go away from it for their primarily midranger. As the number of Ancile increase, however, I am finding mid-range rockets in general less effective. The rest of your hanger would would help inform what you might want long term...

TT Fury has longer range, a little more damage per clip (And considerably more DPM) at level 12 (68K vs 60K from RDB if I'm not mistaken) and fast reload time. The blast radius is bigger too I think. In sumary the reason why TT players run Fury over RDB is that it just does what the RDB do a little better (Just like if you compare Rhino with Griffin).

RDB is poor man's version. If you can't afford a fury you can get 2 tridents on a carnage or a Tasha with some Pins. Tridents are just way superior than the Tulus.
Now if Pix buffs the Tulus with decreased reload times and a larger splash then RDB will start to be really competitive with the TT Fury.
