How the hell are new players ever going to get this stuff, without paying. Workshop is a joke, I'm still building the heavy energy shotgun thingy, for the obsolete Mercury I've shelved to start building an Invader, coz it jumps and does cool 「dookie」, so do I skip the Ares I can't really afford or see the new not and then decide. How to best waste yet more silver. Glad I drink.....

How is it no-one's commented on the name? Ragnarok... the final cash grab... Fenrir, Loki, and Tyr are all fated to die on Vigrid. Because nobody except you knew this. I know the Norse Gods but even I had to google "Vigrid" before I responded to your post. Besides don't most of the Gods die in Ragnarok? |

"Tyr - son of Odin - and god of man-to-man combat" hmmmm..... I wonder what monstrosity they developed this time. Anyway, all these bots are centered around the quick cooldown gimmick. Loki seems quite broken if it has endless stealth.

The Mechwarrior Griffin looks like the Dougram from Fang of the Sun Dougram.  Wrong bot. Dougram is the Shadowhawk in Mechwarrior. Griffin is the Roundfacer in Dougram.   The absence of the Zaku like hoses on the Griffin gives them a pass in my book. Now that I mention it the roundfacer really does look like a mix of Zaku II and Federation mobile suits. |

I've got a level 11 invader and almost hit the upgrade to level 12 (70mil au) but I'm going to wait until the April anniversary update. There's likely gonna be some balancing and it's not confirmed but my guess is the ares, invader, halo, corona are all being considered for nerfs. I give them all 50/50 odds of surviving untouched. I switched my focus to level my Ao Jun from the last event and gave up on the ares completely. At this speed of releasing new bots, it's definitely difficult to make hangar plans. |

They said Tyr is the god of Man-to-man combat but he is the God of Justice. They can't even get that right!! And I did comment on the cashing in on the MCU craze! |

I tried them in the server, imho:
Fenrir is the bad Brother of Lancelot. A slow tanker, well balanced. When the ability is activated It moves like rhino ;-).
Loki introduced a new dynamic, you can kill It only using power cells.
Tyr is op. Very impressive.

Battletech famously plagerized from Dougram and Macross/Robotech and since the initial lawsuits, every iteration of the Battletech/Mechwarrior is subject to repeated lawsuits from Harmony Gold. Fortunately the last time it got settled in Battletech/Mechwarrior's favor. This settlement happened last year. Harmony Gold did not license Dougram, the rights of that still belong to Sunrise, which also owns Gundam. Turns out, after the latest legal spat, Harmony Gold does not really have rights to characters and mechs designs in Macross, since they are non creators. That’s good. I watched some YouTube videos describing the most recent lawsuit... just a money grab. For anyone who’s interested, there’s plenty of videos describing these lawsuits and the murky backstory of how Battletech/Mechwarrior plagerized. It’s pretty complicated. |

So workshop it is , I've stopped Falcon production but love that beast too, can see the long term viability in both those. So will focus hard on those 2. According to the specs
Tyr lev 8 45 km/h
Ares lev 8 59 km/h
But on the server Tyr is faster than Ares...

Loki is like the Falcon. Near invincible when its special mode is on, but all out vulnerable when its has to fire. In addition to quantum radar and shotguns, Loki is vulnerable to Hellburner and Mercury explosions. I don't know how it adds to gameplay but its very annoying.
I truly enjoyed using the Tyr and the Fenrir, but its also my style to play tanky robots. This is also one of my most enjoyable test sessions and I scored my highest in just level 8 robots at 1.9 million damage. And while I enjoy using the Tyr and would heavily consider one in my hanger, I fear it would be one of the ignored, just like Ao Qin, Ao Guang, Hades and Nemesis have been on their sets. What I think the Tyr is, is being an excellent all rounder, in a game that is gravitating increasingly towards high specialized mechs. Tyr gives me a weird feeling about something that switches between a Rogatka and a Griffin that could not jump.
Loki and Fenrir are both like opposite ends of the spectrum, the stealthy thief and the tanky warrior in the raiding party, with the Tyr serving as the DPS. I think the Fenrir might be the new Lancelot.

A thought exercise ...
The game begins. You spawn with Loki and race to the center beacon. You arrive at the same moment as three enemy Lokis ...
And then ... what? You all stare at each other? If you activate your weapons you lose your stealth and become everyone's target.
I guess I would want weapons that can do quick damage. Blaze? Gusts?
Yeah, I'm thinking about this because I think everyone will get Loki. It could make all other beacon cappers obsolete.
PS I also want a Renrir because it's cool. It's Lancelot with clawed feet and little wolf ears.
