[EDIT April 13, 2019: New version for 4.8 is now posted here: war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/thread/32204/ultimate-weapon-comparison-tool-version]Because the in-game info on weapon damage doesn't tell you how much damage a weapon does over time, or how that damage varies with distance, I used the awesome info from the wiki to make this spreadsheet: www.dropbox.com/s/aznpuks79qqob7m/War Robots%20Weapon%20Damage%20Spreadsheet.xlsx?dl=0 It's been very useful to me in deciding which weapons to invest in, and in thinking about builds, so I thought I should share it with all of you. Hopefully it's self-explanatory, but just in case: 1) Each sheet in the spreadsheet is for a different weapon. I don't have all the weapons in there yet, but I might be persuaded to expand it (it's especially lacking the 1100m weapons and the homing missiles, because I wasn't interested in running those when I made it). 2) Each column is for a different distance from 50 to 1100 m, and as you go down a column you see the instantaneous damage per second and the cumulative damage over time. So you can see how Orkans do a lot of damage in the first few seconds and then turn into pea shooters, or how Avengers limp through the first few seconds and then really get spinning, or how the reload cycle of the Shredder affects its DPM compared to a Halo. I like to flip back and forth between sheets to compare which weapon does more damage in a given time at a given distance. For example, I was surprised to learn that a Viper is better than a Dragoon at 500 m and about as good as an Avenger at 200 m, if you're willing to wait 5 seconds for the corrosion to fully set in. I hope you find it helpful!

So everything is compared at level 8? No ability to change the levels? Nifty sheet tho

Wow, thanks for the info. Seems like the Avenger is the best heavy weapon by far in terms of damage output and distance flexibility. Time to get upgrading then

OP - Great job. I haven’t checked the math, but looks like a solid methodology. Thanks for the effort, lots of folks will benefit from this, it’s what forum life is all about - helping the community.
Now, if you could just distill this into an ROI for each weapons that incporporates damage dealt, investment ag and time spent. Ooo, and then create a valuation for bots that incporporates weapon damage and how soon you can engage that damage, cross-referenced with durability and subjectively ranked by coolness factor. Dig it!
Seriously though, thanks for all the work

Thanks guys. I forgot to say everything is at level 8. I think every level brings a 10% increase in damage, so the level doesn't matter for comparing things -- but on the other hand, it would be pretty easy for me to make the level adjustable, so I'll probably do that if/when I update it.
Yeah, Avenger is a gem. I run 2 of 'em. Incredible DPM and its faster & cheaper to upgrade than workshop gear too. I wonder, though, whether the accuracy stats for machine guns and shotguns depend on the size of the bot you're shooting at.

For weapons that have bullet spread the damage over distance depends on the cross section of the target. This spreadsheet doesn't make much sense if one doesn't know for what target it was calculated. Also was the target the same for all tested cases?

Hello Stirlitz and welcome to the forum! EDIT: I do not know how KomodoPie did this, but I bet he used either a fury or a griffin/something of similar size to approximate damage. You are correct in thinking that it would be different for a stalker than for a Natasha, but the data is still fairly close I would assume.

Welcome to the forum and to the hot mess that is war robots metrics. I assume you are familiar with the WIKI? None of it makes much sense and Pixonic tweaks it fairly often, sometimes they publicize changes, other times not. So everything numbers-based is just an estimate giving a rough idea of how things will perform. You can 'gut check' things by running the test server app on weekends.

Time to get upgrading then yup, thats why its getting nerfed It's only an accuracy nerf, which only affects long range shooting with the Avenger. Since Avengers are mostly used for close range combat, the nerf shouldn't affect us too bad.

The data is just from the wiki. To be honest, I don't know where the bullet spread numbers really come from. It does seem like they should depend on the size of the bot, but hopefully these specs give a decent indication for weapon comparisons when you don't have the weapons to try out yourself.
