I would like to know what is the nearest tier my hanger is in, and what level is it safe to level up into. Right now i'm just trying to make all weapons 1 level higher than the robot.
Cossack 7 -E-SG Taran 7 Gl. Patton 7 -4x SURA F Pinata 6(upgrading to 7) Boa 7 -ECC Thunder 7 -E-SG Taran 7 Griffin -2x CRV Pin 7 -2x S-25 Tulumbas 8
(I have two spare magnums and a Vityaz, not sure if i should change Patton with it)
I would also like to know what should i change for the better. Currently saving up for the fifth slot. I mech out often, particularly due to being on random and suicide-charging to beacons(even with Patton or the mid-range Griffin). Yet i am tempted to buy a Galahad.

Your medium bot levels are too high. Probably in the border of high silver and low gold due to your Griffin.
Keep weapons 2 levels above bot level.

Agree with Z...
There are a few ways to deal with it... the best IMO, would be to get new mediums and leave out the Griff for now... only level up the mediums to 4 for now... until you get the weapons to 8. There are tons of threads on here about the proper path... when I get a break, if no one else has, I will link them to my next post.

Here are some threads to go through... their situation is a bit different but a lot of the info will be useable for you: war-robots-forum.freeforums.net/thread/141/general-advice-directionCrap I am running out of time... but a general rule of thumb is to have weapons at least 2 levels higher than your bots... and to get weapons to the next tier first. So, if you have 4/6 bots/weapons, and you are ready to move up... get them to 4/8 first, then get them to 6/8. Make sense? At that level, you can introduce heavies, but know that you don't want to upgrade any of them yet... lots of people wait to add them after weapons are 9 so they can at least upgrade the Heavies to 7. The way MatchMaker works, you can have your medium bots and weapons higher than your Heavies... and still be in the same tier. I have my light bot at 8, my mediums at 7 (except for the Galahads, they are still 6), and the heavies at 6. Weapons are 8. I know I can get my light bot up some more, and I think the mediums are good to go to 9, but I will verify that before I get that high up. Then again, I am not sure I will be going much higher for a long time... at least until I get weapons to 9-10, as I will prolly focus most on heavies then. I treat the Galahads like Heavies in leveling up for now, so I will lump them into that group. They are still useful at the top tier unlike many mediums.

I actually end up making a low silver(i think) hanger. The max is 4/8 for low silver right?
I have been liking low silver; it's easier to get my gold. I think i will stay there until i accumulate enough gold.

What are the max levels for light bots? Also, Galahad won't bump me to high silver, right?

Yeah, big penalties on Brit Bots and WSP bots... I don't know the specifics of the penalties.
IF you have the time and a lot of weapons at different levels you could try an experiment: Maybe try it as Bot lvl 1 with lvl 5 weapons first, for a few games, see how the MM treats you. Then try 1 at level 6, 2 at 5. Then 2 at 6, 1 at 5, then 3 at 6, etc etc until you get bumped up. You would have to play a few games at a time bc sometimes the MM will blend you in to higher tier and higher tier players into yours, so one game isn't enough to tell.
I know that would be tedious and require a good bit of weapons at various levels... I'd do it but both my Galas are at 6... and I never even tried to play them until they were at level 5, so no advice on how they work at lower levels.
But unless I have missed it, I don't remember seeing any threads in the forums that say just how high the penalties are... if anyone would know, though, it would be either a user named tinthefiend or maybe colblackjack.

Nice to see a hanger without a Gep, and no plasma.... Well done.
The Griffin is probably bumping you up, depending on the level (and they're a bit prone to dropping half their kit anytime they get hit hard...) But, the Galahad will put you into "Gold", whatever that is. You will be against 7/9 Rhino's. Don't get me wrong, the plasma Gal is a stone cold killer, but you need a balanced hanger. I got my Silver medium robots up to level3, W9 - you'll get some big scores.
Pick the weapons you want to use in gold, put them on mediums mechs, and level the weapons up to 8 or 9. Have fun.

Are the Brit-bot penalties not like the wsp bot penalties? I thought the matchmaking guide said the the penalties are global to your hanger. So incrementing the Galahad itself wouldn't change anything (other that the +20% hanger score) until it caught up to the highest point total bot you have.

Galahad will put you automatically in high silver - low gold matches. A Galahad L1 with L4 punishers might put you in low silver matches but it will not be consistent. The same goes with the other britbots and wsp bots. I wouldn't use a Galahad at L1 as it is fairly weak and slow at that level. Plasma eats up the shield in a short amount of time.
