When im in my Ancilot and im facing a Carnage/Thunder at short range they are really hard to kill after the shield update right? What is you best way to get rid of Carnage bots after the update?

In their sleep is easiest.

What is you best way to get rid of Carnage bots after the update? plasma galahad. Thunder carnage is no match for a plasma galahad.

If you are in an an Ancilot build after the regen nerf then you have to assess whether the Ancilot is still working well enough to stay in your hangar.
My feeling is that the Ancilot just got easier to kill because the shield regen was what made it hard to kill if you didn't have energy weapons.
Now back to your original question --- how to take on a Thunder Carnage. The shield fix gave an L12 Carnage its true 90K shield capacity, but it did NOT change the glacial shield regen rate. For any plasma bot, the energy shield fix means nothing. If you are in your Taran Ancilot, it just means than you begin backpeddling as soon as you see the Carnage while firing at them. Hopefully, you can get your back against a wall to prevent the Carnage from circling you in the get close enough to be inside your shield.
Now if you are using non-energy weapons, just fire your weapons at them as soon as they are in weapons range. The shield bubble can be hit well before the Carnage rounds a corner and well above the bot's head (like most buildings on Power Plant). Just make sure you know where that Carnage is while you fight other bots and fire in their direction at every moment where you don't have a valid shot on another bot ---- this is will effectively maintain the Carnage's energy shield at virtually zero against you and any other blue bot that it might attack. I use this shield zeroing tactic against all energy shield bots whenever I use rockets, missiles, or guns if I don't have a clear shot and I want to be helpful. This tactic is even more valid now that energy shields don't come back as fast. Now when you employ shield zeroing on a Carnage well before they are in 100m, that shield will not come back before they actually engage you. Moreover, by zeroing out the Carnahe's shield early, you may force them to NOT attack you at all, as the risk factor may be too great to that unshielded Carnage. However, if the Carnage still attacks you with a zeroed out shield, just remember one thing ------- DO NOT STAND STILL or RETREAT IN A STRAIGHT LINE while firing back at them. If you simply retreat in an "S" pattern while firing back, you'll make them miss quite a bit and you'll kill them before they kill you.
Thunder Carnages are not hard to kill even after the energy shield fix. Just be aware of where they are and that Rush can move them 200m in a flash, so find that blue shield HP bar and take every free opportunity to zero it out before you have to deal with it at under 100m.

My favorite bot to take out thunder carnages with is the db rhino. They think they're safe because you aren't using plasma so they walk right up to you, but then you shield up, walk into their shield, and blast them. It's hilarious how often it works.

The 'zero the energy shield' game is particularly amusing when it's Carnage vs Carnage. It's also incredibly important. The advice not to retreat in a straight line is excellent. I had noticed that myself - asked myself why my plasma Galahad wasn't doing as well vs Carnages as it should, and I realized I was retreating in a straight line. Being an easy target. I've been consciously training myself out of that, and doing much better - to the point where I'll walk up close to a lurking Thunder Carnage (as in <100m) to tempt him to come out so I can kill him. And then I kill him. May sound suicidal, but sometimes you really want to protect a high value unshielded bot from a Carnage menace.

LOL! I may get laughed at on occasion for it, but I'm carrying around a level 9 Punisher MK2 specifically for wearing down bubble shields. It's out of rotation at the moment while I get used to piloting my first Lancelot, but the gun has made for many interesting 'franken-builds'. I'm not convinced slapping an Ancile up on my Lance to make the infamous "Ancilot" will do me much good, but that's going to have to wait awhile anyways, what with how long it takes for buying and upgrading a new piece of Au equipment. Danged Lance is already taking too long in and of itself

I've heard those things have a nasty bite. I know, I know, some people say it's not the robot's fault, it's a bad owner. Personally I think they're just an aggressive breed. P.S. When I have a 350m long pole, I like to poke them from 349m away.

I love my Punisher Griffin, although I'll admit it doesn't make my active rotation often enough. Good against both kinds of shields from 380-500m... punishers may not be accurate enough to land much damage on a bot at that range, but shields love to soak up misses. And more importantly, punishers look and sound awesome.

Thunder carnage is so fun to drive. Yes, it may be too squishy, glass cannon, etc, etc, but nothing gets the War Robots apex predator juices flowing like rushing out from cover into <100 range of a red bot in a thunder carnage. Boom-boom-boom! You can almost see the enemy bot's expression change from confusion to worry as the Thunders get closer to their face, boom-boom-boom! The best is making Griffins jump into walls in their panic to flee, only to fall back into the kill box, Boom-Boom-Boom! That Rhino raised his shield but you are already at his flank, Boom-boom-boom! The ride is often short lived, but it usually leaves a trail of scrapped red bots in its wake.
