Under the new system do you all feel its better to keep bots and weapons at the same level 6/6 for instance. Upgrading bot along with the weapons. Or have a wider range say 4/8 and largely only upgrade weapons. Or does it make a difference?

I think in the current system, it really comes down to preference, playstyle, bot and depends on how good you are. If you are pretty skilled at avoiding damage and still delivering damage, I'd say its ok to overlevel gun 2-3 levels. I've seen some good players with lvl 8-9 bots & lvl 11-12 guns. If you find that you are dying too fast and unable to get out of the way, level your bots.
I personally like having more firepower & I don't mind cycling through all my bots so all my bots are lvl 8 (except Gareth @ 9) and my guns are lvl9 and I plan to got 8/10 or 8/11. That's the plan anyways. Also, brawlers will need more speed and armor than mid/long range bots, so I'd upgrade the bots you plan to use there first, or get them to a level where they can take some punishment.

When upgrading, upgrade weapons first if your weapons are below level 10.

When upgrading, upgrade weapons first if your weapons are below level 10. Unless you are a beacon capper. In which case upgrade till you get desired speed/HP combination.

I am keeping everything pretty level thru level 9 when bots reach max speed (7/7 to 8/8 to 9/9), and then focusing on weapons from there to 9/10, 9/11, 9/12... I am reading here that MM no longer places much relevance on hangar strength, but until we know for certain, I don't want my weapons or bots too far out in front of each other. (e.g. potential risk of 4/8 or 8/4 setups being placed against 8/8's).

Is upgrading bots but leaving weapons low a viable plan? Something like 10/8 or 10/5. You know something the opposite of a "glass cannon." Thank you all for your replies.
