I'm sick and tired of being thrown into matches where people do sweet faq all about beacons. Even after I've wasted my bots with no teammate support and am watching on in dismay some players who COULD BE RIGHT NEXT to beacons do nothing!
NOTHING!
At least give us the opportunity to raise some sort of alarm, eg: A B C D E and when you press one of those keys it means EMERGENCY! Go for the beacon or something.
You can't do this in-game. It doesn't work. People don't know what you want them to do. For example 20 minutes ago I was in a game. A stalker was getting our side beacon on Yamantu. I was in a Leo. Too slow to do much. Some dude in a Carnage was just sitting there blasting his pair of Zeuses at the center beacon. Good BUT we are about to get smashed. I walk up to him and shoot him and then shoot in the direction of the beacon about to get captured. The guy then proceeds to try and shoot me for the rest of the game. Within 1 minute all beacons were red after that.
It's just awful.

And THAT's why we prefer squadding and playing with clans and like-minded people.
And being in a slow Leo frankly means you dont have the right to complain about beacons. LOL

The problem though, is the lack of tutorial in the beginning of the game. It just shows the controls of how to pilot the bots, but no indication of ranges, and the fact that people seemingly can't read the objectives at the top left..

Doesn't solve the problem of feeling helpless in observer mode. One would hope you could still contribute to the outcome by keeping a close eye on the tactical situation. I can get very myopic myself when I am busy battling enemy bots and don't have time to look at the big picture as often as I should. Sometimes the game clock runs out and I had no idea it was ending. It's for that reason that a system to help with the tactical situation would be beneficial - not only for squads and clans (I'm in "a" clan and, well, the problem still persists there) but for casual play.

Work on your situational awareness! Also if the problem persists with your clan mates get a new clan. When I play with just one clan mate it almost guarantee's a win....

I mostly solo. Just before the Halloween event started, I was able to get to 92% win rate without sealclubbing. For me, the trick is to trust noone. I fully expect teammates to be bad and do beacon running/defending myself as much as I can. I do leave the game when I see 2xZenit/Noricum/Natasha or too many spiral patton etc though. I am not wasting my time with those "support" bots  Also, I try to invite those who refuse to get on a knifer bot when in need into my squad after the game. Then tell them "Get on your close range bot when beacon is in danger please" and disband. Most of the time though, they don't join the squad so not much I can do about that. BTW I am mostly at 7/8 with 6/8 heavies. |

I was under the assumption that no matter when you quit the result of the match is tallied to your account. |

After the starting timer(the 15 sec thing you see when you join a match) and the first minute of the game are over.

This is why the rating system has to be fixed. You still get fools in "high tier".
