Welcome!
The game is as expensive or cheap as you make it. Don't chase the meta of the shiny new stuff. Get gear you like and enjoy the game.
It really is a very enjoyable game

Same as above. Test weapons/bots in different combinations, level what you have, wait patiently for different things to drop. Or buy the item when it is on sale and can spare a few bucks. Other than that, don't chase after "this&that", it will cost you dearly in money, time, and resources...

I am a new economy (July 4th on) player with some old economy experience. as it is now the game has a very steep curve to create your dream builds and a decent and competitive hangar in overall. It is very competitive even at the low levels pass the recruit level, so prepare yourself for moments of frustration, disappointment (with the developers) and discouragement. that said, the game is still enjoyable once you keep your expectations low and are ready for long run commitment. Below a few tips and suggestions that you might find useful:
1) save your Au to open the 4th and 5th slot if you dont already have
2) save keys to open silver chests to get most expensive Ag bots and Au bots/weapons.
3) save tokens, and use them towards a single bot/weapon at a time. 150-200k tokens will get you about 1500-2000 comps of a premium bot/weapon.
4) griffin is a bot that you should not hesitate investing on. You can run multiple builds: RDB(tulus and pins), DB(orkans and pin/aphids), PDB (tarans and magnums),leadhose(all punishers), etc. they are all battle-proven builds that might get you wins and needed resources, especially Au.
5) get at least a pair of tarans and orkans. now that they are Au-only weapons you either save more Au or win them in silver chests.

Delete the app now and play one of the alternatives instead. BoT or robot warfare. Better games and less p2w. If you choose to stay, good luck and enjoy the tankers.
