I'm really happy with whatever tier/class I'm in at the moment, the mag geps are quite a rare thing and seeing more variety in builds.
Leos, Natshas, Fujins and Griffins are very common with the occasional Fury/Raijin and I feel like games are always winnable.
Just looking to optimise my hanger and balance out the numbers, what can I upgrade and what should I leave alone at this point?

I think you can easily go up to 4/9 and see the same level of competition.
I've been hanging out there for quite a while.

Obligatory opening question: how far away are you from opening the 5th slot?
The most basic advice you'll get from this community is that you can raise your weapons all to level 6 (those crv pins), and since you're comfortable, you can take the other bots to 4. This is comfortably high bronze/low silver. Avoid buying heavies, wsp and Britbots for now, as they'll bump you up a tier or two.
I assume you cap a lot of beacons, but at the expense of doing a lot of damage, which is fine, but you'll find that once you have the capacity to dish out larger amounts of damage your Ag earnings will go up dramatically, which you don't necessarily need now but will definitely need as you move up, if that's what you want to do.
For now you can grind away, get that gold, and let your workshop pump out some tarans and magnums, which will gradually make your knife fighters more formidable.

Ok, probably the questions you will be asking now is:
1. What should I get with my Workshop Points? Save it for Tarans and Magnums, 4x of each at least.
2. What should I save my gold for? 5th Slot, always!
3. What bots/weapons should I upgrade which I can still use in higher tier? From your lineup, probably only the Boa, and maybe CRV Pins Patton (but this will be replaced by Tulu+CRV Pins Griffin). Always keep weapon 2 levels above bot level and you will be fine.

Slowly saving for more tarans then some magnums, still 4k off a 5 slot but maybe at the end of the month?
Starting my upgrades on CRV Pins for the time being though I'm not sure if I'll hold onto the Patton too much longer.
In time I see myself replacing it with a Griffin Mag/Tarans.
Will aim for 4/9, thanks for advice again guys!
