I don't know if you noticed, but this forum is for hulking hunks of metal on legs armed to the teeth with oversized weapons, there's little to no room for anime, though the bots are waifu'd on various occasions. You could imagine that the things are piloted by them, go nuts. |

ATTACK ON TITAN SUCKS SO MUCH
I DON'T CARE THAT IT'S SUPER POPULAR WORLDWIDE. THAT DOESN'T MEAN IT HAS ANY ACTUAL REAL QUALITY. ITS JUST A MORBID FASCINATION TREND WITH ALL THE BLOOD, GORE, AND DEATH OVERSATURATING BASICALLY EVERY EPISODE. IT'S A CHEAP GIMMICK THAT THE AUTHOR DOES NOT FAIL TO TAKE FULL ADVANTAGE OF WITH EACH AND EVERY OPPORTUNITY. IT WEARS ITSELF THIN VERY FAST.
I CRINGE INSIDE TO THINK OF IT IN THE SAME CATEGORY AS THE GREAT JAPANESE WORKS WE CALL ANIME.

Aldnoah Zero and Code Geass are two of my favourite anime of all time. Oh and the CG movie adaptation of Ganz: 0 is freaking awesome too. Agree that Attack on Titan is over rated. Only anime I know that take 4 episodes to cover 5 minutes of story.

What? Is that how you really spell bebegun? I thought it was just BB then gun. Anyway i agree that AOT is super overrated, and how little the hype it has on our group anymore. We dont even care if there was a season 3.

You will have to pardon many of us, we harkon back to the halcyon day’s of robotech, macros, Sabre Rider, neon, mighty orrobots, etc. No judgement on anyone, young nor old. Nevertheless, patience is the moderator in experiencing one cohort to another. New classics, old sensations... anime and manga both have built a rich history very, very quickly in the last fifty or sixty years. Ive fallen well behind the cutting edge. And, dispite the presupposed rigidity of self observation, my tastes have markedly changed. At one time, I loved the action of Robotech, deploring the seriousness of love and drama. Now, I find the silliness of Girl und Panzer quite refreshing. For the record, I found Attack on Titan much like Lost; exciting at first, then they completely lost any semblance of a coherent, enjoyable storyline ( as it may be given the story line). |
