I wish Pixonic add a reward for those who don't quit early...extra silver or gold.

I have to say. Not a big fan of Yammy.... Not one bit at all. Its not a Leo friendly Map. My Leo, Willie Dynamite... As he's known in certain circles... It takes his fat, bumblin self 5 mins to get near center beacon. And by then I've taken about 10 Treb shots to the dome... My legs doing the wibbly wobbly... I die.. And start all over again... But this time with my Golem... Herb McNasty... And he ain't much faster

I used to hate Yama with my geps but I actually like it now with my heavy line up. The center beacon action gives it something different from the mix of knifefighters and mid/long rangers.
I hate the slippery slopes as it seems so random sometimes....only causes me to slide when I need to get out of the line of fire.

I wish Pixonic add a reward for those who don't quit early...extra silver or gold. Everyone is trying to figure out how to punish ditchers to dissuade them, but a carrot might be better. A match completion bonus for staying until the clock runs out, win or lose sounds like a good idea.

I dislike yam but its better than Springfield. I go in knowing I'm gonna lose those 2. I usually play unless its like the 5th time I've seen them in 7 matches. I can only take so much before I'm like "oh you think I need to play this AGAIN? Watch this" *hits leave map as soon as sees yam pop up* I wish Pixonic add a reward for those who don't quit early...extra silver or gold. Everyone is trying to figure out how to punish ditchers to dissuade them, but a carrot might be better. A match completion bonus for staying until the clock runs out, win or lose sounds like a good idea. I prefer giving anybody who is less than 80% of the way through a tier a +1 on their ranking if you leave before the match is concluded or for doing less than 50% of your average damage. If you are in the top 20% you get a zero instead. This means if you want to tank you have to try to get half your average then stand there motionless for the rest of the match. If you stand there motionless for the full match or ditch you work toward tougher competition not easier. This makes tanking difficult and just not worth it for most. The reason I stop giving a +1 at the top 20% of a tier is so you can't ditch your way up the tiers and collect gold that way. If tier is 500-1000 anybody 500-900 gets +1 anybody 901+ gets a zero. This keeps tankers in the top part of the tier without moving them up. The average person who doesn't ditch/tank may get an occasional penalty for a DC or something but for them the penalty would be less than getting first place on the winning team twice over the course of a month.

I love Yama. Its a center brawl but you cal also attempt flanking and side beacons. Im pretty sure if I tracked I would discover I win more on this map than any other.

I just hit the higher tiers today, so I played Yama for the first and only time so far. I'm not a big fan of it, but I managed to squeak out the 10 Au somehow lol. My hangar is built for knife fighting, so there was a lot of running around the ground level with the pillars in my line of sight as much as possible.

I like yam a lot, and I use all close range fighters. I like to take a thunder carnage or DB Griff behind the bridge pillars on the ground, or under the reds ramp. Someone always comes looking for trouble when you tuck in somewhere. I enjoy greeting them.
The games are bad if red gets center and has trifuryss behind, but so it goes.

I love Yama... on the condition that I'm with my clan; as a runner I can't trust randoms in solo to cover me.
Long range just isn't my thing.

I have a fairly mixed hanger so I don't really mind yama at all. I seem to get the PP over and over again so any change from that is welcome.

Bots with large hp pools and physical shields are the last bots that should be targeted by snipers. That being said, if you are the best player on your team... who is really winning... :/

Overall Carnages it's very effective to blast them down before they can use their tremendous payload on your team mates!

I love Yam in squads but I kinda hate it solo. The map offers something for everyone, but people systematically gaming their match assignments can ruin the experience (hey, where have I heard that before?!?).
I think is the best map from the standpoint of providing diverse geographical features allowing a mix of tactics. Unfortunately when playing random, it seems like an unusually high percentage of the players who actually stick around for the match consider their TT Fury/Carnage "short range" and Treb Fury/Carnage "standard range." No map is going to be fun when 10 of the 12 players are in mid- to long-range setups, and it would seem that too many randoms map-hop both ways: some only playing their long range hangars on Yam, with others refusing to play their short- to mid-range hangars on Yam.
Squad battles on Yamantau are still a blast because the center beacon is generally a bloodbath, there is usually at least one probe/feint towards side beacons by either side midway to late in the battle, and one or two campers - er, ranged support - can contribute meaningfully to both types of action. Battles usually run close to 10 minutes, you almost always see some people mech out on both sides, and sound tactical decisions make more of a difference on Yam than piloting or shooting skill alone. So yeah, I'm happy to see it in a squad but have very low expectations for 'fun' when running it solo.

No love or hate - just give some grippy boots for my bots, as all those poor 「illegitimate child」s behave there like a pack of drunk wolves performing a pogo dance on a frozen lake...
