First of all, HOLD ON! I'm just a new player. Like a new pilot, I surfed the net absorbing as many knowledge I can about the game. And maybe the most often topic I've encountered is topic about matchmaking process and how pilots feel of being "cheated" by the system. From many articles I surfed, and after try those one by one, I've come to a personal conclusion. War Robots is a commercial product, and like other commercial products, it was developed to make money. We're lucky enough to play the game for free (or at least, just paying a little sum). And we're lucky that we can have many successes in the game without paying too. So, what do I wanna say? If you feel that you're matched unfairly by the game, you can start to do this three things instead of ranting endlessly: invest, Invest, INVEST!!! 1. Is War Robots a game you like? Then reward the developer by investing your money. Yes, it's your hard-earned money. But don't forget, it's their hard-earned product. Buying those superb gears will ease your game a bit, and increase the fun factor. You will spend your time more on shooting strategy than saving strategy. It makes Pix happier, so they will always make the game better and more enjoyable. 2. Don't wanna invest your money? Pix is still loving you for playing. They give us chance to compete. How? INVEST the time! Grab as much game you can, so you can own more Ag/Au. I have a friend who just pay about under $10 (a trial) but invest many many on his time, and now his hangar full of Tarans, Trebuchets, almost all bots available, and many other superb gears. If he can do/have that prestigious lineup without much paying or ranting, why can't we? This thread is not about attacking or defending anyone. It's about maturity. It's about acceptance. Understanding of what reality offers us, and accepting that some thing such a perfect, ideal (free) program is not always feasible enough. Today... We celebrate... Our more fun and cheering gaaaame...

Super upbeat. I admire your enthusiasm. Are you by chance, employed by Pixonic? (kidding. maybe?) I've spent some money on the game. Why not? I like it well enough. Just throwing money at the game doesn't fix a lot of the underlying issues that are causing tumult in the player base, though. I'm stickin it out for now. Waiting for that fabled tunnel light.

I've spent 10 bucks on the game only on the first promo you get the gold drone, but I have dedicated ALOT of time to the game and I can hold my own against TT level players. This game has a good balance and it does not require you to pay to win, you can go fast if you pay, but you will reach what pilots paid for with time.

Hahaha... No, of course not. I'm too dumb to be employed by geniuses in Pixonic

Clash Royale is a good example of something that is pay2win. I could never achieve what I have in that game with the time I dedicated myself on War Robots, but War Robots is different. I got a Lancelot & Fury from gold savings just from wining alot of pilot of the hour/day when it was up.

That may have been true before but the league system has killed the "no money" player as a starting point. Set up a new account now, spend 0 dollars, and tell me how far you progress close to and past lvl 10-15.

But in fact, I posted this thread after the league had been introduced before get taken off again. So, it mostly based on the "new" experiences.

I like the attitude, keep it up. Agree that in order to really hold any ground for complaints about the game you should probably be paying for it. On that same point though, possibly a lot of those complaining are the ones who have spent the most of their own money vs those like me who have only gotten suckered into some of those enticing holiday chests. I don't really feel I have much to complain about anyways.

Came across my old iPhone 5 last week and setup a new account for the giggles. Currently L12 and doing great. 4 slots with molot Patton, thunder punisher vityaz, piñata destrier and molot Cossack. We'll see if I suddenly get hurled into the shark tank. ?

Players get lured by the title "FREE", then got angry when they feel that developer are being " injustice" to them. They forgot the fact that it IS an industry, a PROFIT-oriented field. The developer needs to get profit, then when the product gets profitable enough, they would maintain or develop it more so it gets better and more enjoyable. And in the end, the product are being more profitable. That's the fact, and that's a never-ending circle. Ranting would NEVER achieve its purpose. The developer still wants to get paid, and the "Have" players will still enjoy to purchase excellent stuffs in the game.

I did the two promos and one 30 day premium while still under level 30. With the current offerings I just can't find anything to buy. No hate here Pix, keep your fancy drinks and just sell me a regular coffee.

I have 400M silver and never bought vip.

Good point, OP. I personally never pay for pixels, in any game. So I just shut up and soldier on.

Pay to play??
I always say it's more like
Pay NOT to play, lol truthfully that's about what it comes down to.
When your Gareth runs up to Lancelot for a handshake before dancing him to death circle after circle, then that pilot probably payed not to play or got really lucky in a holiday event.
Still maintain my position that without paying, you really have no room to complain. Suggest? Yes, by all means but not complain.

I have not and do not intend to pay any money on this game. I recently made level 30 and still win over half my battles, running all (4) Leos, sixth level at the moment, with level 6 and 7 weapons.
I may never make it to the top, but I am still climbing and I think I am doing pretty well. Pix is free to tilt the game in favor of payers and I am free to quit if Pix tilts it too much. I think they have a fair balance.

The music makes me cry...Club-aholics anonymous..."Hi, I am Justin, and I have been club free for 8 weeks..."
That video is a brilliant montage of mindless game play. Dude has great points, that are well... irrelevant. The game became a one bot set up...That's just bad.
And the best point of this video..don't follow the guys exploiting the game, they eventually loose their (straight Gep) prized hanger in a MM upgrade.

The video is about seal clubbing, but the commentary is about the opposite. The message is about acceptance of being clubbed as a part of the game. About being a realist, instead of idealist. At least, that's the message I've received
