I think the "cowards" are the ones who camp out of harm's way the entire match even when their team is down on beacons.  They'd rather watch their team lose and keep their precious bot than ditch the bot and engage or cap for a win.  Very puzzling, indeed.

This situation was tolerable under the old mm, because it didn't occur so often and I'd just play through it.  It is incredibly frustrating now, particularly when you've been hammered with loss after crushing loss and you can tell you don't have a chance of winning regardless of what you do.

What do you consider an unbalanced hangar?  Under the old mm players could develop a hangar that suited their playing style and preferences.  A balanced hangar was one that you enjoyed playing that also enabled you to win more of your matches.  I had barely finished upgrading my silver hangar and was just beginning to experiment with new bots and weps when the new mm rolled out.  I didn't want to play TT matches because I love the faster style of play that silver offered, but I wanted to expand my hangar and prepare for when I got bored with silver tier play.

If you were a silver tier player under the old mm you've been thrust into a system that now consistently pits you against TT bots.  What was once a balanced hangar now appears impractical because it was deliberately not set up for TT play.  As a former silver tier player I am struggling to build a competitive hangar for this sudden and new mm, and it is frustrating to say the least to be forced into matches where I get pot shot to death by superior equipment that I can't even engage.  I haven't played long enough to build a diverse hangar for when the mm shifted, but I'm getting there.  Blindly assuming that we deliberately limited our hangars demonstrates ignorance of our hangars and situation to say the least.

If you ditch for any reason other than a broken glitch or an emergency, you're a quitter. It's really that simple. You think something's going to be too hard to accomplish, so you tuck your tail between your legs and run. If we're going to throw words around like "coward", then leaving your teammates to struggle against superior odds because you're afraid of a challenge makes you more cowardly than anyone using a long-range setup. There's my two cents.

Running all knife fighter is not a balanced hangar. Having no way to deal with fury tridents is not a balanced hangar.  Not being able to deal with ancilots is not a balanced hangar. Not being able to deal with shielded bots is not a balanced hangar.

But the things you address in your post are not what is being discussed here.

You are getting screwed by the mm, and I feel bad for pilots such as yourself, being thrown into games where you are sorely outclassed, but that's the subject of 1000 other threads, not this one.

This is about ditching maps because you are unwilling to play as a team player, and then calling other people cowards when it's not them that is running away from fights. This is about being unwilling to become a well rounded player. And considering that that was EXACTLY the topic at hand I summarily reject the notion that it's out of necessity. I understand being outclassed and frustrating, but again, that's not what was being objected to here.

Except that's not who I was adressing at all. And low hangars were not the reasons for ditching.

Please don't be so sensitive, because the whole paragraph above is nonsense as far as who and what *I* was adressing.

Wasn't being sensitive at all.  I was addressing your initial post regarding the knife fighter hangar and his reluctance to play certain maps because of campers.  Maybe you didn't actually read my paragraph, or you just had difficulty making the connection.  Sorry you're having trouble understanding my posts.

A  knife fighter hangar is an underdeveloped hangar in the new mm.  We don't know whether or not it's intentional from his original post.  My post addressed the possibility that his preferrence is based upon what he currently has with his resources, hence, and underdeveloped hangar.  This possiblilty is based on logical conclusions and the absence of other pertinent facts, not nonsense.  Your response is very emotional, and you are obviously very passionate about your point of view.  However, I must say that disregarding possible explanations based upon logical conclusions is very foolish, even if you don't agree with them.

I have a new reason for leaving a game. If I see 3 clan members in red I am gone. Getting that way with squads too.

Don't quit the game, man. I may be the other guys that is trying to save this match.
And know what? I had plenty of matches where I was sure that we were going to lose but then the Reds meched out and we won. The other side may play too aggressively or they are too Damage obsessed to cap beacons...
