M8, you and greyghost are about the only people that support this ideal. I mean, let's just say there are about 200 people on the forum who support tanking, there is another 1300 against you You guys are hijacking this thread. This is exactly what we're talking about. I could start a thread called, "Why I love Destriers," and you lot could turn it into an argument. I'm headed to bed. I'll check this in the morning. Any more of the same and I'll cut it and ship it to Rants, at the least. Gotcha, sorry dredd. I'm just argumentative by nature, I'll cut it out. Gnight mate

I would expect much of the league system discussions to go the same direction as MM/clubbing/tanking. Some people are just mean and angry. As threads get hijacked i stop reading them.
Thank you to the moderators of this forum and keep this site going. I have learnd a lot over the past months.

Edited original post to note that we will also not be permitting guides that advocate ditching or tanking. This practice is controversial even n this community, and we are erring on the conservative side.

Matchmaker issues, ditching, tanking and Pix's fumbling with the game *are* the relevant issues. Pix's own decisions have made more interesting discussions about things like hangar construction and effectiveness under the TT level entirely meaningless.
Maybe if Pix got their heads out of their 「multiple dookie delivery chute」 and got the game in a good state we'd be able to have a more civil and varied discussion going on here.

Thanks to the forum's moderators and administrators. The irony is that by keeping a stricter code of conduct, u have created a lot more thankless work for yourselves. Yet the malcontents frame it as some type of power trip.
Anyway, cant speak for 80%, or even 20%, but your efforts are appreciated.

Huh...How does it feel, not being able to advertise cheating? ~80% of forum members don't consider tanking to be cheating. Doest mean we agree with it. I'd guess - large majority of the 80% abhor it - as one of the 80% I certainly do. Back to something more interesting - great written post Admin. look forward to the improvements

And now i felt like senator jar jar binks from naboo who propose the "temporary" total military power to the supreme chancelor.... Lol Finally someone is using their heads. Best idea ever.. I mean it worked out for everyone on Star Wars, kinda .. Sorta.. Except for Jedi's. Especially the children Jedi. And I guess it sucked for all the dudes working on the Death Star. They got the shaft... Freakin Luke. Killed like 20,000 General Contractors, construction guys, electricians... Little punk Luke...

Great. Thank you - I appreciate us keeping the forum civil. I have greatly appreciated this and the past forum - it has really helped to improve my play and my enjoyment of it. I agree that tanking, though not cheating, is unsporting and not aesthetically pleasing, and wholly support the advocated rules regarding its debate.

Thank you for recognizing the tonal change to the forum, and doing something about it. I feel that complaints should be listened to, but they have a place. Recently they were drowning out everything - yesterday there was a moment when the top 7 non-stickied posts were all about tanking, in one form or another - and all the complaining made it so I didn't want to visit.
I know complaints are as valid as any opinion, but there needs to be balance, and I appreciate that the moderators are actually helping us to be moderate.
Not let's get into kick-?bum-bum? robots and blow ?poo-poo? up.

Issues such as tanking and the new mm system are important issues that effect the game play experience and deserve threads for their discussion.
That said there are many other topics for discussion and the attempt to stray from the OPs intended line of discourse and "hi jack" threads should in my opinion be regulated by the mods.
If I start a thread asking for advice on a build it is only a matter of time before someone says " Your build doesn't matter the tankers will cost you 1/3 of your matches anyway." From that point on the thread becomes a flame war. Soon half the threads on the forum are toxic.
This is the first time I have visited the forums in over two weeks as I was simply getting sick of it. I'm glad to see that some stricter controls will be instituted.

It is funny that in a thread about the new rules of the forum the mods actually had to ask folks to be civil in the discussion of the rules....it just shows what a state of frustration is out there with the game right now that is spilling over to the forums.
Thanks Mods and admins for laying down the law....I've found the game to be more enjoyable than the forums lately, and the game hasn't gotten any more enjoyable for me so that tells you the direction the forum has gone IMO.
We can't control what happens in matches to a certain extent except to do our best.....on the forums it is a different story as we control our own destiny here. Just do your best.

Well, if mods/admins had laid down the law earlier and kept conversations civil from the start, I think would still be able to discuss MM and encourage tanking in the open. It sets a poor precedent that bad behavior (by the anti-tanking faction) successfully got a whole subject banned from general discussion.

It would seem it is preferable to sanitize the forums a bit to appease the Russian overlords rather than have the anti-Pix sentiment and general negativity about the game on full blast in general discussion.

OK, I was probably part of the pollution, so I will step up and become part of the solution. I will apply for guide. My application is the following, lock this thread, delete every post below the OP, and pull the majority of other sticky threads down so this stands out.

I try my best not to interfere too much and let the mods do their job, but enough is enough. Even after being asked not to hijack the thread anymore, you still find a way to troll and bait and point fingers all in one reply. Dredd might be nice and not put you in an iso-cube yet. But one more mis-step as interpreted by me (NOT Dredd) and you WILL be banned. You have been reported by users multiple times and we have always been fair and even sided with you. However, do not take that for granted. 80% (unsubstantiated number) might not think tanking it is cheating, but most would not support it either. Nor is it morally or ethically defensible. They didn't get the subject banned, the subject got it banned. Please do not test me.

M8, you and greyghost are about the only people that support this ideal (I think maybe boomsplat to, but not sure.). I mean, let's just say there are about 200 people on the forum who support tanking, there is another 1300 against you Again your mistaken, I've never said I've supported tanking. I understand why there's tanking and have sympathy for some of those that feel forced to do it. This MM supports tanking, which is one reason why I prefer the old MM. This MM and league system copy what they use in coc. Tanking is huge in coc and a moneymaker for them. Coc addresses the problem just like pix is doing now. "We are aware of the problem". Well guess what tanking has been there for years and it won't be gone from here either. So learn to adapt, and guess used to it. It's part of the game now, thanks to new mm, thanks to pix. And the poll I was looking at said 80 percent didn't consider it cheating. I consider it exploiting, if used to farm. So to sum it up tanking in one form or the other is here to stay, like it or not. It's part of pay to win. Time to stop talking about tanking and matchmaking because they won't get changed and learn to adapt. Time to get on more productive topics.

There are around:
19 who think tanking is cheating
47 who think tanking is not cheating but think that it is dishonorable
21 who think tanking is not cheating
There are 66 not in favor of tanking vs 21 who are in favor of tanking.
So for those who think that 80% of the forum supports tanking, it's actually a bit less than 25%.
And Pixo is working on a solution to the problem, they have stated before that they are looking into penalties for quitting too frequently.
Once again, keep this discussion to the above stated rules only. Any further discourse will net you one strike.

I agree.. I don't like what is going on either, trying to adapt but it's hard.
I don't want to tank, and I don't want to pick and choose maps. The latter to me seems more like cheating. If you got three long range systems, and a griff or two with russian and death button you are set up decently for a long map. Guys who play them all (because i feel it is the right way) are at a major disadvantage.
Tanking to me is very unproductive and don't see how it helps (shortly after you tank and you play a few games (idk 10 or 15) you are right back where you started. Seems like a lot of wasted time and energy.
So we need to work together and bring back the game together. Stop tanking, stop picking and choosing maps, just play! Play hard to win! If we do it together we'll be fine. If not, you will end up quitting out of frustration and War Robots will never achieve the level of game as it once was.
Stop fighting each other in post and start working together to make War Robots enjoyable again. As far as the forum is concerned, hats off to the moderators acknowledging the issues and setting up the forum fairly. Now it's our turn to start doing the right thing, and play right. The forum is a great place for news, learn new ideas, and to vent. Lets take all of this energy and put it to good use on the battlefield
