That's a problem, alright. I'm not familiar with amazon as a platform. And I don't like e-readers. Maybe HEATHEN HERETIC has the skinny. He works with both droid and amazon on a regular-ish basis.

RedRaider, how to install GooglePlay Store on Amazon devices by Red Skull... www.redskullproductions.com/how-to-install-the-google-play-store-on-the-amazon-fire-tablet/Paps, the Fire tablets aren't the same as an ereader. They are very capable tablets using a free to incorporate version of Android proper. I've had several Android tablets and one iOS and the Fires are just as capable as their more numerous brethern. They're just way cheaper in cost. The brand new Fire HD10 that I'm using right now only cost me $120 U.S. on Amazon. Without Prime I think they run about $150. Still a hell of a bargain considering that my Samsung 10" cost me well over $700 over a year ago and it does everything the Samsung tablet does and even some things that it doesn't. RedRaider, Paps, I wouldn't recommend the Fire HD8 or below because their processors are only 1.3 GHz and the developers are telling players that the game actually requires 1.5 GHz or better. It would be a waste to throw money ata product that soon may not evenrunthe game anymote. The Fire 10 has 2× 1.8 GHz with 2× 1.4 GHz as backup. Not great but certainly not bad for the price. And I was surprised by the video quality aswell. Better than my Samsung tablet.

Perfect, thank you ? I'm not looking to get one, but good to know they're actual tablets and not just electric books. In case I need to pass on know-how at a future date.

I have been playing on my HD8 6gen from the start .I have had little problems The app crashes every so often and i hsve notice some sound issues but other than that it seems to run better thst on my hd10.

I'm mainly on Amazon these days, using an HD8 7th gen. It does ok most of the time. Lags a bit when the fur gets flying and crashes every few games (especially in squad), but all in all it's satisfactory. I have been thinking about the HD10. For $120, it sounds like a pretty capable device.
