My bots are dying from Zenit Fire?? Let’s get one thing straight. I’m not a camper but even if I’m moving I still suffer enough zenit damage that’s effectively killing my bots!!! I get online to see if they are over powered and only find old rants telling me they’re useless??? In what universe?? If I try to hunt the arty then I get swooped on by 3 other knife fighters with no apparent help from the team. After that I’m effectively the only target for zenit man and the other members of my team don’t care!!! Worse still I’ve got a zenit man on my team who’s targeting someone else??? Shouldn’t Nat/ zenits target other Nat/zenits to help their team mates not suffer zenit Fire? Have zenits had a buff recently? My griffins are at max speed and can’t outrun zenit Fire. Even my Galahad at lvl 6 suffers. Why is no one complaining about this but me?

Because Zenits just kinda tickle my heavy bots and are mostly just annoying and my medium bots move enough to not really get hit Zenits are more annoying than damaging.
If you want to take out the marshmallow lobber might I suggest using Gekko's they have a crazy range and odds are the marshmallow lobber will be too slow to move.

I sometimes use a Zenit Butch for fun in the gold matchmaking zone. Hilarious thing, it just fires non stop. But the down side is it hardly hits anyone. here and there I get to destroy a bot or too........ahhhh, that must be you

Even my Galahad at lvl 6 suffers. Why is no one complaining about this but me? You might not be a tanker, but maybe the ones using Zenits are. With possibly high leveled Zenits. Check out their levels in the post-battle scoreboard to see if that’s the reason why you’re getting hit so hard. Also, like posted above me, heavy robots generally walk at a slower pace, and if the Zenit chugger knows how to aim them properly, and you are moving laterally, instead of straight ahead, you’ll have a good chance of being hit often. If Zenits remain a big problem for you (yes, they can be annoying, that’s their whole purpose) it might be time to re-evaluate your tactics. Good luck, soldier.

Both of my two accounts only have L1 butches and Level 5 Zenits. I gave it a shot in masters but the scores that I was getting was miserable. It was like active tanking and a guaranteed bottom of the table finsh Even with higher levelled zeniths I am not sure if my score would have been acceptable so haven't considered levelling them.

If you are the one being targeted because you dared to try to take him out, then find a teammate with an Ancile and give him a hug. If your artillery chucking teammate isn't targeting theirs then give him a hug. Just share the love.

Move towards and away from the Zenit chucker. Avoid traveling laterally. Better yet, travel in diagonals so that you make progress thru the map and avoid the rockets at the same time. Don't move in predictable patterns and look for tall cover to help. Zenits travel very very slow, so if they're hitting you consistently, that means you're being predictable. BTW, I hope this isn't Nemo!

Koalabear is right, as far as how to avoid them. But let me say that after going against a few highly leveled (MK 2 12) arty builds, I get why you were dying. They do a LOT of damage and have big splash. They do what they are meant to do... flush reds from cover.

I set my Butch up with 4 Zenits (levels 5 & 6). When I want to just chill and shoot rockets across the maps I put Butch in the mix. I drop the Butch on the map first, move as far away from the REDS as I can and just start lobbing projectiles. It actually pretty much shoots rockets non-stop. It's a good time and every now and then I get a kill or two. I have completed several games just playing the Butch. On the Canyon map it's fun to fire the rockets at someone who is 1000-900 yards away. It just looks cool when they start running at me and my rockets fly over their bots and explode behind them. Of course when they get close enough to me they can do me in pretty quick... cause all I got are 4 Zenits on my Butch.

My o my contribution to thread is echoing OPs one point; why do artillery allies not target enemy artillery?! ODDS ARE THEY ARE STATIONARY
Also I am now going to try zenit again. Wonder if it can be are viable.

Boosted Mk2 Zenit Noricum builds are getting more popular in gold for some reason. Thank Pixo for their wonderful MM. I enjoy approaching them in my vortex aphid hover to show them exactly what kind of damage the sky is capable of showering on them. Unfortunately the pansies eject after one salvo.

Zenits by themselves don’t work because once bots start moving you don’t hit anything. But they are great for getting specters moving from behind cover and using their stealth outside of range. Then when they move you switch to the tempests. But yeah, level 5zenits aren’t going to do much

Griffin only moves 35KM which is among the slowest bot speeds in game. If your gonna move that slow use something with a lot more meat (armor/HP) and a heavy hard point for an Ancile, no more Zenit/Noricum problems...

Wonder if it can be are viable. Yeah, a lot of artillery players are bad. They just fire willy-nilly. As far as Zenits go, my way of thinking has gone that way too. I'm disillusioned by a lot of the far range straight line weapons. You are just too dependent on having a clear sight of the enemy. With all the upcoming changes, It'll be wise to have a good artillery setup for one of the bots in a hanger. There is no denying lobbing rockets from afar is a solid tactic on the battleground. It's upon the players to figure out ways to work around it. Being inflexible in your thinking will get you killed.

They are obsolete in expert on up you dont see many zents Past diomond.. but what u do see is those damn butch trebs when your a front line bot .they really suck now everybody and there brother owns a spectre with shocktrains.how f$&$%ing irratating those guys are i have one with orkans at least you have to get close and personal with it but to shot from afar every time u jump and u dont confront the battle thats just the coward set up in my opinion. u got 5 bots get in there and attack those SoB,s if you mech out start a new game...i loose so many bots just trying to maintain that center becon that everyone is so afraid of ....get in there and keep it lit cuz if you dont someone else will ...being in masters now all u see is the flying eyes everywhere lol

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but Zenits are terribly ineffective when the target is moving directly toward or away; you can lead your shot to hit targets moving laterally.
IMO, Zenit/Noricum got a silent buff against heavy targets some time ago. I find Noricum more "effective" than Zenit but rarely ever use either unless I feel like being a pest.
