Count me in for the 100% opposed camp.
I like the balance that we have in 6pack. Changing the requirements would (a) have all 6pack players scrambling to build those bots, and (b) it would upset the balance.
As for acquiring this stuff, I'm not the only one who stopped playing live server and does 6pack exclusively. I have no clue where I would find the silver to build meta bot components. Getting the legacy bots however is easy, even a Lancelot can be had for a few million silver.

I am arranging a one off android fight night later in the month. Using components as posted by heathen cat. I think it will be discovered that some of the equipment is blatently OP even then.

Still it might be fun as a separate 6 Pack component. 6 Pack Legacy+. As is the Ancilots dominate in the regular 6 Pack League and three or more just tear up opponents that aren't built to oppose them. Yesterday's EU 6 I found myself last man on the field with my last bot, a Hyd/Doc, against three Ancile-bots. I might as well have been using a cotton ball dispenser for all the good my weapons were doing. lol. But it wouldn't have made any difference if I'd have had Orkans or Tarans really. One shoting a full load of two Orkans and Pinatas on an Ancilot or Carnage will drop the ancile, but it leaves you defenseless. And Tarans, even Punishers, need time to bust a Lance's physical shield and meanwhile the Lance is just laughing and eating you alive. To get true equal matching anyway everyone would have to run the exact same builds, and that would be extremely boring in just a little while. It'll take me a while to gather any legacy+ gear since I do not play regular matches with my Android profiles. Haven't since January. I'm just collecting those Supply Drops and flipping cards in Royale for Ag. Used it all yesterday making components for, wait for it, an Ancile. Got two now that I can use in 6 Pack. I have tons of 6 bots and legacy gear so I guess I can start working on legacy+ gear now.  |

Gepard components are a cheap way of getting it. |
