Ever heard of something called a shield bot? It can block trebs, KWKs and Kangs.

On some maps there's limited cover, plus having to fight your way through protective reds... Died with my gareth too many times after bobbin' and weavin', slippin' and slidin', hidin' and glidin', only to gasp out my last breath just as I finally got into range....

Tridents and Pins and Tulumbas are the real problem. Their splash is ridiculous. I still have 3 lights in my hangar for beacon running (even with the new mm,) and they gobble me up despite missing me completely. I play on my phone, and a lot of times I can't even see where they're coming from. Frustrating.

I usually push forward with my MR bots, especially on short maps. Today I made it to the red spawn beacon and capped it on Power plant with my fury, blasting reds as I went along. My clan mates were making fun of me and my fury as they are predominately knife fighters - last laugh was on them as I scored 523k in damage with the one fury....second overall by just 20k to the overall damage leader. My other 3 bots are knifers. so sorry....I just can't help myself wth the tridents, pins, and tulumbas. I'm on the receiving end just as often though....

Must admit, having been on the receiving end countless times, I took the 'if you can't beat them' approach and now keep a zeus carnage and trident fury in my hangar. I currently also run a mag stalker, plasmahad and RDB Griffin, so a little bit of everything. I used to be exclusively knife fighter, but I must admit I do enjoy the variety now and the mid rangers can be very effective.
Damn those trebs though...!

I agree I hate the range game.. To me the top levels should be where the fastest knife fighting bots rule
IMO this game is a bit flipped flopped..

At least you can damage the reds with your fury.

I agree long range weapons are for creeps. I just had the most boring game of all time. We had 5 players, the other team had 6, they made no attempt to win the game, just sat with 3 players all level 10 and above long range weapons. We still won, but it was so boring. It took the timer to zero to finish the game. At one point my Leo and a teammates Leo were both hiding in the same corner for two whole minutes. I finished second in my team with 1 kill and less than 250k damage. What's the point? I almost quit halfway through, which I've never done. Hope these guys all suffer severe diarrhoea all weekend.

Use zenith and noricums. By nature you would stay in spawn point and shooting endlessly nowhere. Doesn't matter if you never get any beacon(s). No worries never kill an enemy. As long as your can minimize repair cost, doesn't matter win or lose. You get Ag and exp in the end.
As long as not considered "tanking" by the "senior" member of the forum, you won't be screencapped and shamed.
Lol
