Hey ya'll, I'm often in a situation, where i am not sure how to deal with best. So when fighting the reds, together with other blues, it is sometimes obvious that the reds will win the current fight.
My dilemma is: I mostly can't decide whether to stay and fight and let my mates benefit from the little Ancile i have left, to let them survive a second longer, before we all gonna explodeOR if i should retreat, saving my own bot (to do some more damage, kills & beacons some moments later), but letting my mates die while fleeing like a coward. So should i stay with my buddies and die with them, without killing anything or capturing a beacon or should i save my bot to not die a useless death? Personally i think it makes more sense to survive longer, but it doesn't feel right to let my team mates down, by running away. On the other hand, they could/should have prepared an escape route for themselves, no? So what's your take on this matter?

If you watch good players (which I am not) they survive at all costs depending on beacon progress. There are times to go kamikaze and knowing the difference is a skillful choice.
Ex: Taking a little speed bot behind enemy beacons to distract. Used to use my stalker to do this all the time. I wasn't interested in damage but distraction and it almost always worked. Also trading a crap bot for a powerful one. Easy trade.

I stay with my teammates. Sometimes I regret it but I usually stay with my teammates.

If it was a team game maybe stay but everyone is out for themselves so do whatever makes you happy.

Usually, in that situation, i die before I can even think of making a choice.

The number one rule as a tank is always take care of yourself first, your healer second, and damage dealers third. You are no good to anyone dead.
Pull out of the conflict and hope the others have the good sense to follow suit. If they die, they'll know they were overaggressive and should practice some caution in the future.

If I was in your position, I would get a few good shots in with my teammates before retreating, using my over-aggressive teammates as decoys. It sounds cold and ruthless, but honour doesn't win games, living does.
Pretty sure your teammates won't complain if you live to win the game.

BE A MAN!, blaze of glory!
If im say 25% health and team mates near by i'll get behind them.. takes the focus off me while I can still deliver fire.

So you are saying that whether you stay or not your teammates are dead?
In that case run. Run like your hair is on fire and your 「bum-bum」 is gonna catch fire if you stop.
It goes like this your team has 30 bots total. Why stay and let the reds take out 3 instead of 2? If you run and your teammates die that is their fault for not being smart enough to run away too.

I make a quick calculation on whether I can deal more damage than I expect to take. This rules most of my choices outside of objective priorities on the battlefield. If you can dish more damage by staying, stay. If you can't get out alive, stay and deal what damage you can. If you can get out and wouldn't have dealt significant damage in the fight, run.
