Hi! I just found this game by accident as I was plugging along trying to find a new game to play and guess what Im hooked and NOW I've got a LEO!

your best bet at this point is to setup the griff as a RDB (russian death button build ) this consists of tulumbus and pins, probably came as stock. this build will give you 500m range keeping you out of brawling range... orkans and tarans.
The leo is more of a tanky build its got a bigger hp than some others so you could run this as a brawler : ) 300m and under... your best bet is
thunder (heavy 500m but gets better the closer you get ) then gustsx3 may take a while to get these component items, but they will come quickly : )
You will then want a fast beacon capper your aiming for a kumilho but this may be a few weeks away, thats the bot ide focus on achieveing quickly!
keep spinning those bronze chests and hope for orkans (medium weapon 300m range brawler) these will suit the kumi well....
keep us posted on other stuff you win and we will advise on its use.

My advice for now...
upgrade the leo and griff to lvl9 top speed before focusing on weapons. At this stage you want your bots to last the full 10mins but not get high damage, what you dont want is to rush thro leagues quickly or youll get murdered above gold.
As for gold keep saving for slots Dont rush upgrades with it, you will run out of silver and you need that gold later.

you will end up in the lpq (low priority que ) pixonic wont tell you about this but its a fkr to get out of and you get 0 rewards from games played in it, you also get stuck with all the other tanky cheaty fk wits!

I used to run a Leo with Thunder and Punishers. Gusts are better at short range but punishers are much easier to get.

But after a while you see you have accumulated almost enough and you feel a little better. Component advice: Set a priority. If you want Gusts don't spend Gold or WP on other deals. Only play the Royale when Gusts come up. You may want to do what I did: Run Leo with Thunder and Punishers until you can grind out the three Gusts. |

For the Leo, I'd probably recommend trying to grind for an Avenger. I think it would fit the build an your bot's low level better right now. Avenger with Punishers would let you stay a little further back. Low level Leos are just Orkan bait after all.
Upgrade times and costs are brutal these days, so plan your acquisitions wisely. Use the Hangar X and the weekly Skirmishes to try out more advanced stuff to give you an idea of what you might like.

1) Natasha on default weapons
2) Patton on spirals and punisher
3) Leo on Molot, pinatas and thunder
4) Griffin on Pins and Tulumbas

Everyone wants new bots/weps...
It's part of what makes this game popular.
But a mishmash of gear will waste your resources and frustrate you as you get killed a lot.
Try to decide what element of the game is most fun to you:
Fighting Reds
Capping Beacons
Drinking Beer and recording funny moments
Laughing at being annoying to Reds
Etc.
This will guide you to the most effective bot/wep purchases and let you know what to level up and what to allow to get dusty in storage.
Try to match EFFECTIVE ranges for your weps. (GUST & PUNISHER have 500m range, but the GUST is EFFECTIVE out to 150m where the PUNISHER is 350m as a very rough example.)
If you want to take your LEO into someone's face, GUSTS hit harder...if you roam the field, PUNISHERS give more reach.
I'm not recommending either wep...just making an observation.

I'm not recommending either wep...just making an observation. i do wanna get into RED's faces however, I really couldn't afford Gusts or those with a puzzle/component prize im relying on my workshop but looked like its going to be phased out soon as well? |

Silver weps PINS and PUNISHERS along with a THUNDER are powerful on the LEO. I have TEMPEST/PIN LEO I run occasionally in EXPERT when I am looking for pure damage. A salvo of 12 PINS into a box will truly hurt any bot without an ANCILE, and will help knock down an ANCILE.
With a mid-range build...you want kills...but area denial is a major accomplishment. Keep the REDS under cover and not advancing. Hold down 2 and your team has a 5-4 maneuver advantage even if you get no kills. These weps are CHEAP and effective WAY beyond their cost. (With a competent pilot, the RDB GRIFFIN is usable through EXPERT and it's "cheap" as well. I can't speak beyond EXPERT as I'm not beyond EXPERT.)
Keep having fun figuring out the roll you want to play and try to verify any advice given to you from anyone with "PSYCHO" in his name...
