Asking tech knowledgeable members only...
How does this look for a tablet to play games on?
Specifications:
Operating system: Google Android 7.0 (Nougat)
Screen: 7inch 1920 X1200IPS FHD
Processor: 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A53 Quad Core
Memory: 2GB RAM, 16GB memory
Extend Memory: Supports Micro SD (TF) card expansion up to 64GB
Connection: Wireless N (802.11b / g / n), Bluetooth
Audio: Built-in microphone, Built-in speaker.
Battery: 2500mAh
Please do not respond if you are going to suggest products. Went that route and it just went completely sideways. I am only interested in what a knowledgeable tech person that plays high visual and large ram app games like War Robots and Asphalt thinks of this system for what I intend its use for and nothing else please.

Only if you have the option. 2500mah doesnt sound like its enough for a 7" screen. Lots of phones start at 2900mah nowadays.

Everything looks good except the processor. 1.2ghz is slow. How would this affect a game like War Robots or BoT? War Robots is constantly sending and receiving information, when someone moves or shoots at you, it sends new info to your phone, when your bot gets shot, not only does that info pass to you that someone shot you and from where and for how much damage, but that info is also returned back to the person who shot you. All that takes significant time and with all the graphics and game info switching hands, a slower processor will generally show lag, which makes it hard for you to hit what you’re aiming at. My wife’s brand new iPad has almost no lag except from server or other players, but my phone (not old a 6+) has difficulty running the game when it starts getting battle intensive, and I’m fairly sure 1.2ghz is what my phone runs at as well. Pixo needs to optimize their code, and I prolly need a new phone lol. Only when batteries die do I replace them.

The posted specs are for a Google Android gaming tablet listed at $400. I'm wondering if the quadcore specification means that it actually has four 1.2 Ghz processors as I've seen other quadcore devices advertised as being and therefore it is more than capable of running high end apps?

I haven't had any issues with batteries or heating in the four years I've been doing it. And I always immediately unplug my devices and shut them off completely when I'm not using them. Those vids of exploding phones and tablets and burnt out cars and houses made that a pretty much religious practice for this old heathen. lol

Any idea about the GPU used?
Because, the GPU(Graphics Processing Unit) renders all on-screen animations (especially 3D animations like the ones you see in War Robots) and it is a very important component for gaming.
A 1.2GHz processor and 2GB RAM for 400$ is not worth it IMHO. Heck, even a 3 year-old Snapdragon 810 has a clock speed of 2GHz.
Are you buying the device just for gaming?
If you want to run War Robots or any other latest games, I would suggest you look for the following specs while choosing your device
1. A CPU with a minimum clock speed of 1.8 GHz or more. 2. A GPU with a minimum clock speed of 650 MHz or more. 3. A RAM storage of 3 GB or more. 4. A minimum Hard-drive storage 32 GB or more.
I hope this helps.

For that price tag you should be able to get an iPad. The iPads have better hardware for the money. Android tablets can be bought much cheaper but also with even lower hw spec.as far as I know there are not many good gaming android tablets round. There was a thread on that topic.

FYI. War Robots 4.0 no longer runs on first gen ipads. 3.9 was laggy as hell. And its barely running on ipad 2.

It is advertised as a new 2018 item on Google by Google. I have no clue when the build items were produced though.

The SoC is 5 years old and midrange. Not to mention the lack of RAM.

Maybe a Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 for 200 USD? www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_pad_4-9249.php I'm using phone from Xiaomi - Redmi 4X, 4GB RAM - right now about 150 USD and it runs War Robots quite well for past year.

And on top of that you want to run FHD resolution on it.

I have a Timmy M50 with that cpu and specs, paid 50 EUR What really matters for games is the GPU (Mali T720) Not bad, until it warms up and slows down to 5-10 fps

If I want a device with a screen on one side and some metal or plastic back on the other side, I don't have too many different design variants to build this;)

Just because all the components come out of China doesnât mean their all 「dookie」ty or good components. Itâs up to the manufacturers to decide the quality of components

Alright then, if the previous build is iffy for War Robots and other high end CPU use apps then would this build be a better option? I know the Android version is a bit stale but I'm still running War Robots just fine on an old Fire 6 with Android 4.4.
Project Description:
Main - IC. Octa-Core MT6582, Dual Core Mali-400 GPU Screen- - 10.1 inch Capacitive Touch Screen 2560 * 1600 HD Memory - DDR3 4GB Flash - 64GB Storage Extend - 8GB-32GB Micro SD/TF Support Network Wi-Fi - Built-in Wi-Fi Module, IEEE 802.11 b/g/n.3G: Support external 3G Dongle.( WCDMA/ TD-SCDMA/ EVDO ) G-Sensor, Bluetooth Support OS - Google Android 6.0 Marshmallow Battery - 5000 mAh OTG function - support Video format - support 3gp, AVI, MP4, MKV, F4V and so on

It can never run War Robots efficiently (I don't know if it can even run War Robots). Took the following quote from notebookcheck.net about the MT6582, " The CPU performance of the MT6582 is similar to other Cortex-A7 SoCs clocked at the same frequency. Depending on the benchmark, the CPU power is roughly comparable with the Nvidia Tegra 3 and sufficient for everyday applications such as browsing. The GPU will handle only simple Android games in moderate resolutions." So, this setup is not suitable if you want to play War Robots with it.
