Couple of days ago Old woman and I had to move back to the city for awhile. So we packed up, for me easy, for her, I thought I was going to need a moving van.
Anyway I had to leave my 30" monitor behind for my laptop that has the emulator loaded for playing on Android platform. 15" screen, so better than my iPad and definitely a phone.
Yesterday she asked me to do some chores around the house, I gave my usual grunt and off she went.
I was only going to play a couple of games, really I was. Well then I had a brilliant ideal. Hook my laptop to the 55" TV in the living room.
Moved some furniture around, setup a place for snacks and a pop, place to use my wireless keyboard, mouse and my joystick.
It was awesome, the picture, the sound coming through the sound bar.
So I'm playing away, knocking out those daily tasks, blowing up bots and having fun.
I never heard her come in, but I felt something was wrong. I looked over and, well nearly keeled over when I saw the look on her face, her arms crossed and that foot tapping.
Needless to say, I can't repeat what was said by her. It was nice outside, sun was shining, low 60's. I had been hit by an artic blast though.
My moral is, keep your spouse happy, and I forgot the most important lesson I had learned in almost 50 years of marriage other than Yes dear, your absolutely right Dear, yeah I know I screwed up.
Happy wife, means happy life. So if they ask you to do something that doesn't involve the game. Do it.

Get your spouse to play the game ? Thats what I did too, lmao ! It's so great she understands playing a little more during events. And she's my little beacon capper while I lay down the hammer for her

RΛИDØM and Golden Sabre believe me I have tried. Only games loaded on her iPad are Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, crossword puzzles and stuff like that. Old woman is the only person that scares the bejesus out of me. So I let her be, how she wants to be.

I shall pass on the platinum rule. This piece of advice is a tiny contribution to my fellow team mates and foes alike. It has been passed down through generations of my family.
If something matters to you dear woman...then it is YOUR job.
(common sense applied to her physical abilities of course .)
Her mental abilities are of course superior, so you get a free lunch on that one:)

I'm reading this now with the old battleaxe beside me. I didn't mean that, she isn't old. She's reading the Bible and I'm trying hard not to laugh so as not to get her attention and her ire about "ugh you and your childish games and forums".

Exercise of your mind and body are never futile, especially in my age bracket. Not ready for the old folks home yet and hope to never be.
