The taran bug has existed for roughly two years (since it was first reported) The bug has even gotten worse..... even with no walls in the way, sometimes, damage is not registered and/or the bullets still phase through the target the further they get within range.
Update after update, it gets worse, and people are constantly complaining about it. On the official page, through support chat, on the WIKI page, and on this forum... The shocktrain bug (shooting through walls) was fixed in less than a month....
Taran = free weapon Shocktrain = weapon many people have spent money on.
Don't defend pix saying "oh but some bugs are hard to find"
Literally all it takes is a small team of a coders to find the mistake, then de-code and re-code the game. If they wanted to fix the taran bug, they would've done it by now...
Unless the taran gets buffed majorly and becomes a component weapon which players will be willing to spend money on (without a bug) then they won't care

True but they also dont care that much about the game. Theyre using the actual (live) gameserver as a test server-)

The taran has been the god of the f2p community for many years, right next to the orkan. Seeing as how pixo is doing their best to make f2p players as powerless as possible, keeping their favorite weapons nerfed is in pixo’s interests.

Can't believe I am here defending Pixonic... but to be fair, the Redeemer has the same bug and is an expensive weapon. They also fixed the Shocktrain going through walls bug, which effectively was a huge nerf.
Those two facts pretty much wrap up your argument. I think the bigger issue is that the Taran bug is difficult for their team to solve at the moment due to the complexity of the code the weapon uses and the relative lack of talent they have, or the poor quality of said code and the lack of talent they have to fix it.
So basically, they don't have the skills to fix it. Sometimes the problems one person creates can only be solved by someone smarter.

A Taran isn't free. They sell it all the time for RM and I assume they keep selling it because people buy it. Components don't always cost money either. Sometimes they can be free. My 5 Shocktrains were all "free". Two of them given away for free in the event some time ago. One won in in a Superchest and I think the others on the BM. I don't really think the conspiracy is true. The targeting sucks in this game and it affects everyone. That could possibly cause alot of lost customers that are free and nonpaying.
Therefore maybe Pix just doesn't have the resources. Usually, and I know this firsthand, IT companies put more priority to new stuff because it makes money. Therefore the same goes for Pix. They have most developers devoted to making new stuff. We all wish it wasn't the case but I think it's pretty common. Think to your cell phone. Samsung spends way more resources coming out with the next model than they do fixing the bugs on last years.

The only reason I can imagine for this delay is that whoever worked on the Taran originally was crap at coding and made such a mess of it that nobody can understand it, or they just don't care. Assuming it really has been here for two years, I'm going with the latter.

The tarans: I wanna see/hear/read from The Pixonic Team (thus by official channels) that they have problems with fixing the tarans. Thus far I didnt see any message in this context. (Some of you mentioned they have difficulties with the taran fix but thats just brainstorming)
A few months ago the only few messages I saw (on Facebook) was they were doing the fix. If the taran is ever going to be fix......I dont think Pixonic will do this soon because they see this bug as irrelevant.

So it got fixed? Thoughts? Yes, Tarans and Redeemer are fixed for a month now. and Redeemer dishes it good. Not as relatively powerful as Taran, but you definitely notice the red bar plummeting when it hits.

Yes, in my experience it has definitely been fixed. Have noticed the difference mostly with redeemer; before it was really a meh weapon that people used only if they didn't have an ember. Now it really hits hard and does incredible damage.
