Raven has less hitpoints, and it’s a gigantic target.
It doesn’t have cloak, and it’s jump is only sorta better than a spectre.
Not to mention it’s poorly armed, costs as much.
Acfually. Everything is a bad deal compared to a spectre.
It costs the same now. It cloaks better than pursuers flies better than ravens and more guns than a fury.
Raven are worth as much as a griffin... zero

Your reply sounds like you don't own a leveled Raven and you have no idea of its performance. I've said it before and will say it again: I'd immediately trade all of my dash bots for Ravens if I could. No other bot in the game can get into range as fast as a Raven. It is more effective in the current meta than Griffin was in the old meta. Scourge/Spark Raven outperforms all Sourge dash bots.

It’s not that I don’t think it’s good, it’s just not good for 75 bucks. The spectre is just better at everything. As for getting into range. Yea it’s great and all but it gets shot dead. Seriously, I agree with you about spectres. It’s not me crying because I don’t have them. I play with raijin because I choose to do so. And I can tell you when I see a raven. It’s shot dead fast. When I see anything in the air for that matter it’s usually dead, immediately....unless it’s a spectre. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180713/c82e9c1db54c0bbea01a5698e6faa903.jpg)

the raven is a bot that can be used the same as the griffin, and yes the second jump can be saved for later, so it can be played just like a griffin. I use a scourge spark raven, a DB raven, and soon to add to my hangar a rdb raven, so they together match up to most other bots in the means that they can easily all destroy a lancelot if they are well piloted. The raven is a bot for people who have the skill to pilot it wisely, and also people who invest into it. You have to start out with it at level one, so you need to grind it up. Onece you do though, it can become extremely good at finishing dash bots, because you hit them with some of your salvo, and then jump over their cover to hit and kill them

Raven are worth as much as a griffin... zero Raven HP (158K) = Griffin HP (158K) >> Spectre HP (110K), (HP is for level 12 Mk1)
It is an upgrade over Griffin in ground and jump speed, as well as the jump cooldown. Certainly still situational, but I think a skilled pilot can find a use of Raven in random modes with beacons, collaborating with teammates.
I would have got myself one if not those crazy upgrade costs - perhaps now it's okay since everything is crazy anyway,

Raven is a novelty bot: only worth gaining and leveling if you have a horde of spare silver and gold lying around. If you don't match that description then I wouldn't recommend wasting your resources on a bot that is only marginally better than the griffin.

I wouldn't pay the full $80 for the bot, and now that WS2.0 is around the corner, I likely won't pay anything for mine. But... I'm really looking forward to it. My plan is to get the Raven ONLY after I've finished bringing all my current gear (including the Falcon which will be my next bot) to my minimum playing level of level 9. Then, I'll finish off the Raven and only have that one bot to focus upgrading on. I already have the weapons for it - either DB or RDB. I'll probably start it off as RDB until it grows up a bit, and then change it over to DB.
Why do I want it? To me, if fixes all the things I hated about the Griffin. Slow ground speed and long cool down for the jump. Usually sparingly, the Raven can be seen as having a 9 second cooldown for it's jumps - which is only 2 seconds longer than the Rog. Also, if you're ever in hot water, well, you can use both jumps to get WAY out of trouble and then wait the long cool down period for the jumps to come back.

Yea. I think it’s totally better than a griffin, but it’s still worth zero, because it’s not a spectre. That’s my point really.

I took out 2 Mk2-12 Spectres back-to-back with my Mk1-12 DB Griffin just yesterday. Both were in Champion league. I'm in Master league. If skill levels are equal, Spectre beats Griffin, Raven beats Griffin. If skill levels are not equal, then higher skill usually wins. If you don't think so, check out Predator's YouTube videos. He is the master of the old school bots. Perhaps, I was just lucky. Be he is definitely not lucky. That's skill.

The Griffin is a proven bot and Raven is a better version. I don't think The cost be it 60 or 70 bucks is the reason for not getting one but the upgrade time and costs are as most of the post 4.0 bots and weapons.

The raven is a fabulous bot and I would definitely want one.... if the spectre wasn't in the picture.
This is the difficulty all new bots face now. The power creep has been pretty much perfected in the spectre. Pix is trying to curb the endless race for the new meta a little bit with recent releases but the cat's already out the bag.
The only way to make bots like the raven and falcon attractive now is lower the time and cost to acquire and upgrade them.
I'll just save my AU for deals on the 4 heavy hardpoint bot when it inevitibly comes out, although they'll probably fo for 2 heavy 2 medium first. I think thats about the only way the spectre can be toppled now. If it does though, the whole cycle starts again.
Good that pix at least made its hitpoints so low. No better feeling than catching one of the flyboys out in the open with a full clip at your disposal!
