Hi friends, I'm level 24 and I asked me often, how the server is mixing the teams? Is there a algorythm wich compares leven, strength of robots and so on? I'm wondering often that I'm feeled 20 times after another in the winning team, then 20 times in losing Team. Do you think the teams are mixed fairely? Greetings, Alex

Hello.
>>how the server is mixing the teams? No one knows for sure but the magic formula is said to be based on your victory % and last 50 battles average damage.
>>Is there a algorythm wich compares leven, strength of robots and so on? Yes.
>>I'm wondering often that I'm feeled 20 times after another in the >>winning team, then 20 times in losing Team. 20 times winning in a row is fantastic! But yeah the matchmaking makes you lose when you win too much. Every now and then the matchmaking will put a high level player with highly upgraded weapons on the red side to make the blues lose.
>>Do you think the teams are mixed fairely? It is supposed to be but from the many complaints here, some people think it is not.

Ok, thank you for Information, sometimes it feels really not equal... Everyone agrees with you. The general hope is that as the new MM/league system gathers player data, the consistency will gradually improve

The magic formula is known, make no mistake.
The reason match level bounces around so much is because of a flaw in the math somewhere. If you play normally, you go a while and get fed to levels way over your ability. You get pounded, this lasts a few matches, then you see easier competition. Eventually the competition bounces down to a level you can beat up pretty well, then the reds become stiffer and stiffer, until you cycle back to the initial phase of playing way too uphill and you get pounded again. This loop cycles over and over. The constant is your play, the variable is your opponents. Somehow despite it all, consistent play still appears to produce variable opponents.
So oddly, even if you achieve some super consistent normal level of play, you can't feed the cycle and have it not swing. I think it's supposed to, but as we all can see from the number of threads here, it sure doesn't look like it and this finding also matches my own from actual game play.
If you play a do your best style like most do, by nature your play is not exactly consistent anyways. Now that your scores flop around more, this swings the math even more, until your opposition swings wildly as you are under and over matched over and over. So knowing that you have no little chance at winning one loop, trying to perform that winning shot while in the middle of a second loop is... well... extremely unlikely to happen.
This is why many dislike the new MM because this is not how it worked before 2.5 'wrecked' the game.

Yes, I understand and it fits what my experience was. But if the server would mix the team members more fair, it would be ok. I have no problem with stronger opponents, but why my complete team is often so weak? I lose 60% of all battles.

I do, and I like the game. I wonder only about the system. And I prefer beer;-)

I agree with Hackenschuh, I don't understand why the red team is always so strong. Why I am not always the strongest player on blue, I am in the top 3, but normally alot of players only have 3 slots. Game starts well but by 5 minutes blue team is over run. I often only use 2 bots and the game is over. But I must admit a lot games are lost because no one caps beacons.

When people say the red team is ALWAYS strong, just reflect on what that means in terms of how YOU'RE contributing to your team.
