Attachment DeletedCan you mack daddy, big pimpin, Professionalized War Robots gurus take a look and tell me what you reckon? Did I move up a tier or somethin? When I was straight 4 and 5s cross the hangar.. (Same levels on weapons more or less), I was pretty much Walkin Tall carryin a big 「bum-bum」 stick. Then, and I mean the very next match after my Gareth leveled up, I got pimp slapped 2 matches in a row.. Did I tier up? Or jus have a couple bad matches? And what tier is this here hangar anyway!

it doesn't matter what your bot/weapon levels are. it's because you have been winning. so you continues to move up "tiers" (i.e. ELO goes up) so you are matched with better equipped/skilled players. So in simple term: "You are due for some losses"

It really doesn't matter what lessons you learn. No matter how much damage you do, the MM will put similar avg. dmg players into your matches on both sides. Learning doesn't matter anymore. Skill is dead.

So what's the new motivational motivator? I'm thinking shame... Yea. I need more shame in my gaming. And maybe a little guilt. I mean, I'm Roman Catholic.. I should have those mastered.

Skill is dead right now, but it won't remain so. I assume that once the new leagues system is launched, ELO score will be made visible (?). That will be the metric that demonstrates skill as opposed to win rate or average damage.

I dont understand why people keep saying skill is dead...The same bot in a skilled vs unskilled pilots hands are very different.

Damage DOES NOT EQUAL WIN %!!! Get skilled with playing the game (getting beacons, being strategic etc.) and stop chasing the damage bunny and your win % will go up. Hard for you seal clubbers to understand that better bots does not directly equal more wins now. When you are ready stop being a troll, let me know.

I feel your pain. I too have 4/5-6 (bots/weapons) and had a fairly good record under the old MM system.
Take your skill and your 4/6 patton and see how long you last against a 9/12 db griff. Skill can't beat a robots that's twice the levels of yours.
That's seems to be how the new MM sets it up.

Do you just sit around and think about how you can ruin everyone's game enjoyment just because yours isn't what you want it to be? Right now, I feel like if opened a thread on the color of toe jam in winter compared to spring, you would find a way to encourage people to tank and ?female dog? about MM and Pix. I'm sure that there is some term that professional arguers will apply to that sentence, but I'm saying it as fact... I do feel that way. Whether you would or not is immaterial. As to your premise, I disagree. Learning how to play, playing well, and enjoying yourself do matter. To me, at least. The better I play, the more satisfactory my performance, the more enjoyment I feel. I couldn't care less about rewards being the max possible every game... just that it is a good game. Skill is the method I use to get that satisfaction from a battle well fought. But, I guess that's just me. DirtyLikaRat® (WM) Sorry if I derail. Back on topic: Yes there are going to be some craptastic games... but unless you see them all the time, I don't think the bot used is the difference. But, I could be wrong... as I have noticed that when I throw a heavy into a medium hanger, it does seem to increase the competition's quality in some way or another... but that could also just coincide with MM getting bowed up and ready to hit me with a right cross. Maybe I can get to test it out later.
