I’ve been playing War Robots for just on a year. Angry Birds kept showing me ads for games and they all looked stupid, but this one was...interesting. Finally bought an iPad last June,and soon loaded it. I’ve been playing ever since; my wife who has had her nose in her phone since she first got it is beginning to complain
Now I’m L30, in Gold 1 & bucking for Diamond. I’ve read pretty much everything on the wiki, I play all the modes, some with more pleasure than others, and I grind, and I grind, and I grind.
I wasn’t any kind of serious player until the first event or thereabouts...I won A TON of gear, bots and weapons, and by the end of it I had nearly 90,000,000 silver. Things didn’t go so well for the Christmas event...I failed to get anywhere near the end, I could not do enough damage to win enough games to win the prizes. By this point I had 165mil Ag, and I began to level up in earnest. I’m pretty well along the trail now, getting near the end of bringing weapons up to 10, then bringing the bots up to 10; around again to 12.
With all this in play, I was not thrilled to get the news about the new, longer, and more annoying upgrade times and costs. So much so that I made my first gear purchase for real money a couple of days ago, boutgh enough pieces to make a haechi and a dragoon (added to what I had, of course) before 3.9dropped, so I’m in it for the long haul. I’m in no hurry to acquire any of the new-new stuff, Pixonic MUST pass it around the pilot ranks to keep the game alive. It’ll either work out like I want, or it won’t...just have to wait and see.
I’m kinda thrilled to be here, everyone around cares not at all about any of this, so the chance to converse, confer, and otherwise hob-nob with my fellow pilots is welcome.
