About to loose my damn mind with all the tridents and zeuses. Going to dedicate at least one bot to anti midrange. What is the best right now?
Tinkered with a molot griff and that is fun until a trebuchet notices you. Then you are shut down. Was thinking about a hydra fujin. I don't care if I'm mocked. If I can shut down a couple tridents, I've done more for my team then any score will reflect. And my satisfaction would be immense.

Fight Fire with fire. The best weapons to use against Tridents and Zeus' is Tridents and Zeus'.
If you can't afford any of these you are SOL. In which case your only option is tactics and use the terrain to close the range because DB Griff still can counter a lot of things.

I mean, barring a Nashorn Fury, you could do a Leo with Double Nashorn and 2 GEKKO.. Sadly there's no really any other light weapon for that slot (yet?). Or you could do an RDB and just sneak in to the 500m firing range, and save the jump for a retreat. Of course, RDB is really 1v1, and if they have a lot of trident/Zeus, you're probably SOL.

I have 2 zeuses 3 tridents and a fury of my own. The problem isn't one red team fury trident, it's 2 or 3 of them mixed with trident carnies and a Zeus here and there. I explode before I can get more then a shot or 2 off.
My bots are not matching the level of people I'm facing. Stupid MM. That's a part of the problem too, of course.

Zeus carnage is the counter to midrange.
Trebs counter Zeus carnages.
Stalkers counter trebs.
DB counters stalkers
RDB (midrange) counters DB
The cycle repeats

I think the best choices are Fury Kwk or Griffin Molot. It's interesting to hear that Patton Gekkos are making a return however but I wouldn't spend the gold.

Thanks for the advice all. Sounds like a no to the hydra fujin then. Too bad since I already have 2 hydras and a fujin. Only lvl 7/8 though.

Hydra Fujin is good on close maps with cover. From a DPS standpoint, Hydra Fujin deals 2400 cycle DPS. RDB Griff deals 3400, Trident Fury does 4200, Treb Fury 2300. The Fujin has the Ancile and can stay out of sight.
The problem of course is that on open maps like Canyon or Springfield there is the risk that you won't find suitable cover in range before you are shot down, and Fujin is not very maneuverable, so another precondition is that you have some protection from your team. Trident Fury wins because of the splash, IMO.

Holy Cr@p ... plodded my way to side beacon on Canyon ... 1 big Trebuchet flash - dead ... didn't even get a shot off! ... A Fury with 3 trebs & A natasha with 2 +2 geckos ... not a chance in hell to even get close

My 2 Pinata Thunder Leos just got smoked while I was in cover in Canyon. I couldn't find the culprit until later when all my bots have been destroyed. It was non other than a trident Fury hovering on the edges of map raining death down on the middle of the canyon. Too bad his allies where useless and we ended up winning the match.
As far as midrange goes long range and other midrange I think long range and mid range weapons is the best way to go. If you can't or refuse to gear up for mid or long range I guess squad up with someone with mid or long range bots.

Molots Not spectacular but keeps MR pilots in check, distracts them and slowly, but continuously chips HP away.
Other Tridents Self explanatory. When put on carny can be quite useful against TT Fury. Shield stops a single salvo, while yours has to sink in.
Hydra With enough cover and time can put the TTF down. Bonus for shaking the 「illegitimate child」.
LR I have no experience with those, but definitely can get the job done.

I wouldn't rule out a griff with multiple molots after the last upgrade. Even accounting for a 50% dispersion at 650 meters, at level 12 6 molots would still deal almost 4k damage/sec safely out of range without need of cover. Not to mention, molots tend to cause two reactions: a fury either runs for cover or concentrates fire on you, trying to get in range if you stay just out of it, possibly forcing it to make the istake o getting into range of a teammate.

I've had to go junk drawer to patch together a last bot.. from all the stuff not slotted and not on a slotted bot.
That led me on accident kinda, to molot fujin... yes it's a blinking blue kill me as, slow and lumbering, and has a tough time killing anything.. but.. used in a later opportunity and hidden from snipers as best you can.. you can annoy the $%&+ out of nearly anything.
It works best when you can help your team and bug snipers or polish off slivers... if you want to grab a cape and leap tall buildings in a single bound, do that in other slots, this ain't that.
Remember if you can't kill a sniper, your next best chance is getting it to move/leave his spot.

I've been using a Trident Carnage with some success. Also, my RDB is good at flanking Furies.
On the last couple test servers I have been experimenting with different builds. I really like the Patton Gekko. Decent damage now and makes just about anything run for cover. I see multiple other people also testing out this build. I wonder if it will slowly become more popular. Too bad it's so expensive on live ?

I think a Zeus/Ancile Fury would be a good TT Fury counter. Really expensive, but you're talking top anyways. Unlike the Carnage it has a lot more staying power and can have the added benefit of protecting friendly TT from counter fire.

Butch with 4 Trebuchets; Fury with 3 Trebuchets; Fury with 3 Nashorns. Any of the 3 listed sniper builds will quickly wipe out most mid-range. The Butch with 4 Trebuchets is probably the best and kills both Fury and Carnage Mid-range setups with ease. Welcome to the new TT pay to win Butch Trebuchet Meta - at least on Springfield, Yamantau and Canyon. This setup works best if you squad and have squad mates drop a combination of Butch or Fury with tridents and Lances/ Galahads to cap beacons after your range has wiped out the reds.
