im a nube here on this form..first post.... ive been playing for a while..level 9 kossacks and an 8 level natasha(?) i really dont get a lot of the abreviations here, but ill try an figure them out over the course of the evening.
my rant is those friggn lasers... i cant stand them... having one or two of those yellow or blue lines pointed at me makes me drop what im doing and hunt down the laser pointer and stab still the stabbings over...ill burn through my hangar to get to the 「cotton headed ninny muggins」 pointer..regardless of winning or not...
so if you see gog67 on the field and youre pointing one of those things at me...expect to see me to the end...i 「neat-o」 hate em

The effect of lasers is largely psychological; there's no point in deviating from your usually play just to hunt them down--you're merely putting yourself and your team in a precarious position.
As you progress, you'll learn to ignore gekkos, hydras, spirals as they're usually meant to distract you. If you hunt them down then they've succeeded in pissing you off and deflecting you from your objective. Instead of getting pissed off at, say, hydras and spirals, I take solace in the fact that someone on the RED team is helping them lose the game by using that loadout. The same can be applied to gekkos.

Problem is, most pilots don't let it fully recharge before firing again, dropping the damage by 1/3rd.

Both of which have counters: shield and stealth. Dying from a gekko in TT is like dying from a zenith or noricum: embarrassing.

TT is usually in reference to Top Tier, meaning maxed out bots and weapons (Level 12).
I see little reason to max out a Cossack or Natasha. Best to do that with other bots that can hang in TT.

They're an indispensable part of any top tier hangar due to their indomitable spirit and impossible tenacity =)

I would disregard sochilli (Saltesers) comment on maxing cossack. But in case you think it's a matter of opinion, here are some numbers: Maxed cossack has 78k HP at L12. 1 burst of L12 taran outputs 2k dmg. A pair of L12 tarans will take 5 seconds to completely drain a L12 cossack. That means once you've jumped, you will be dead by the time your next jump is recharged BTW - it will cost approx 30 million more Ag to max out your L9 cossack. Sizeable resources that could be spent elsewhere Just for your consideration. If you like what you're running, that's great - it's your time and resource, your choice what to do with them. If you are serious about building a more competitive hangar and willing to learn the game, post your hangar and details (play preference, where you want to go etc) and folks on the forum will give honest, constructive advice.

I would disregard B30RLL comment on not maxing Cossack. If you think it is a matter of numbers, here are some brute facts that are truth enough to warrant no evidence. The Cossack has the fastest net speed in the game with its continuous ability to jump. Of course, this will be quickly displaced by the new dash bot, but as the game stands so far, Cossacks are the best bot in the game for attacking through flat speed and agility. Cossacks. Can. Dodge. A Cossack after getting pelted with a full piñata barrage is still at full health. A trident fury... (that's not to say piñatas will get close enough to begin with, but eh) BTW- it will cost more to max ANY OTHER BOT IN THE GAME. Full stop. js. If you like what you're running. Cool. Add a Cossack. It's up to you whether you want to pull up your win% and inevitable get pulled into TT, or not run a Cossack and stay with easy matchups in the 300k zone. If you are serious about building a more competitive hangar, don't discard opinions without an informed opinion. But please do provide your hangar listings if you want to get the best feedback that this forum has to offer.

Post your hangar. Listen to all the old schoolers.. TT guys opinion's... And take from it what you will. The mere fact that they bumpin heads over your issue, is definitive evidence that they know what they talking bout. These cats picked me out the gutter, about to quit this game, and helped me tweak my hangar. And got me in the top 2 of almost every game I play. Buncha grumpy, crusty 「bum-bum」 techno geeks they are. love you guys

Ahhh, my team ...... you mean like this AM when the battle started with 5 blues and 6 reds and then 2 of the blues never friggin' moved. Hmmm, seems like a rather lopsided battle. A couple more games produced similar results.

It's cute and all, but you're not going to win any races or tractor pulls with it. Showpiece.

Lots of squishy, inattentive driver's out there. The idea that TT players are invincible is exactly why they can and do get their bums handed back to them.

3-4 gekkos do enough damage from far enough away that you just can't ignore them.

ill post my hangar when i get to the pc....i really like the cossacks and get in the top three quite a lot but dont pay attention to it too much. i really dont like the slower bots i use one natasha that i use but i use it as a 'breather'....the cossacks are way more fun. getting the beacons and knife fighting bots is fun.. but the lasers are still annoying.... i did notice they dont damage as much anymore... ive got so many more questions ill ask later when i post my hangar...thanks guys...im gonna stick to the cossacks for sure

It depends on the map. Some maps like Yamantau and spring field are perfect for the Gekko. But then you get a map like dead city and Shenzen and your pretty much f***ed.

And there is nothing wrong with killing gekko carriers! But as you progress and gain some more experience, you will find that the gekkos can be avoided by using angles and cover, and that your primary objective of killing more pressing red threats and turning beacons blue will be the best use of your efforts and weaponry.
