Does anyone use a RDB Rhino? I really like my RBD Griffin but I just wish it were a little faster so I could maneuver into good firing positions more quickly.

I think the jump is why everyone uses the RDB griff and not so much rhino. Just get behind cover and jump at an opportune moment to unload everything.

Ok let me make a quick list of why griff is better than rhino for RDB:
1. Griff is much more versatile because of the jump: You can jump into range, jump away from danger after unloading, jump across levels, jump over obstacles. 2. Rhino has high HP yes, but in mid-range, hp is not the main factor, its the maneuverability. And you need to drop the shield of the Rhino before unloading rockets, which is a hassle. But if you move with shield down, its super slow. 3. Griff only cost Silver, Rhino's 15k WSP cost is a pain to collect.

Like previous posters said, Griff is the better choice due to maneuverability and jump for evade. You also benefit from the ability to simply walk backwards, something the Rhino can't do in assault mode.
Not to say a Rhino "can't" fill the rdb role, it's just better suited as a DB or PDB bot.

Got tired of my RDB Grif when it gets smoked after unloading. Got that 15-20 sec missile recycle. Now use Taran/Magnum with more success and satisfaction. Still there's something about jumping up and blasting a victim. Or blasting a salvo and jumping back to safety. Rhinos do suffer from maneuvering limits with armor up, it just takes preparation and anticipation. I'd rather have 2 Rhinos than 2 Grifs in the rotation. However, I never have use the same bots in my battle hanger and feel it should be a rule of the game.

Unload them at 400-500m (plasmas can't touch you), the jump away to gain higher range (so they can't chase you during reload), then reposition yourself and once you get in range, launch another salvo. Rinse and repeat after that. Only jump in front into range if you know you get the kill with that salvo. Other than that, jump above cover in maps like PowerPlant to unload the rockets, because once you land, you're behind cover again.

The really important factor for me is, ability to often hit targets behind cover using the jump. Without jump, you're stuck waiting or trying to find a position with line of sight to your aim point (a bot or at least a corner it is hiding behind). Oh, and good luck with that trying to find a good firing angle with Rhino, as it is so painfully slow when sidestepping.
Of course, just watch when and where you jump... Otherwise you're dead before you land.
RDB Rhino needs a good position, where it can stay out of range of Tridents and somewhat covered from snipers, while able to shoot at a heavily contested beacon area. Yamantau and Canyon at least have good spots. The rest... not many. RDB Griffin OTOH can find a decent position almost anywhere, and won't have to resort to "camping" as much.

the advantage of the rhino vs the griff is the shield, however, at 500m you are already out of the range of the biggest reason you would want a shield, the 350m range of plasma. The jump will help you avoid most long range situations who have a longer recharging time.
