Now when the new map is likely to be moon based I'm proposing new feature to game: Oxygen (O2). As the robots are human piloted and new map is in outer space there would be good chance to add new feature which applies only in outer space maps.
Every robot has a limited O2 tank what is filled up when battle starts. When dropped to game robot has O2 for 2:30 mins. O2 tank can be filled in 2 seconds in BLUE beacon. When capturing WHITE beacon or liberating RED beacon filling process takes that amount of time what beacon capturing needs. Storyline for longer filling time is that your robot has to build filling vent for it.
If O2 tank depletes completely, robot emergency O2 generator starts up and it consumes slice of the robot health every second - I named that to 02D (O2 damage). The amount of used health per second could be related to robot speed - I'm referring here level 7 Griffin for the example:
- Max health 117000 - Max speed 33 km/h - when O2 tank is empty, robot health is decreased every second by following:
O2D = (MaxHealth / 100) * (MaxSpeed / 25)
Above O2D is calculated at the start of battle for every robot in hangar.
So for Griffin that would make:
O2D = (117000 / 100) * (33 / 25) O2D = 1170 * 1,32 O2D = 1544,4
If Griffin has max health left when O2 tank depletes, it can last 75,75 second until it is destroyed (about 1 min 15 second).
Main principle to use speed in calculations are, that faster robots can reach beacons more quickier than slow and heavy ones.
O2 tank capacities can be also linked to robot upgrades; more you upgrade robot, more you have tank capacity.

.. O2 tank can be filled in 2 seconds in BLUE beacon. When capturing WHITE beacon or liberating RED beacon filling process takes that amount of time what beacon capturing needs... Now that's a helluva way to motivate players to capture and hold beacons.

Last man to the beacon, dies. Unless they're camping at H beacon One refill per bot would solve camping issues.

Heavy bots would not like this feature at all.

Heavy bots would not like this feature at all. No I wouldn't I've become accustomed to blowing a red off a beacon then just moving to the next target most of the time. Not because I don't want to cap the beacon just that I know the smaller bot I'm running with will sprint tward it anyway.
