I have been playing War Robots for a few months was doing ok about 65-70% win rate and usually in the top 3 in damage and rewards.
This is my current hanger which has been updated from 2/3 and 3/3 bots.
I've read the matchmaker threads and nothing seems to apply and the MM is not getting better. All I see is Rhinos, lots of Griffs & Leos, Fury's, and BB's Currently facing 7-12 bots with 8-12 weapons. Not much influence on the outcome just do some damage before being shredded. good team=win, bad team=loss Any advice would be appreciated

Your stats of over 300k damage, 54% win ratio, almost 3 kills per match - this is excellent for your level of weapons and bots. So I can see the MM putting you against stronger bots.
Also, your max lifetime damage is 891k, and 12 kills. That could not have been with 2/3 bots, right? And you have 1928 wins. Respectfully asking - is your current hangar your best stuff? It looks to me (and maybe the MM) that with those wins and that damage history that you may have higher level bots or weapons in reserve? The MM may be trying to get you to put your best stuff into the active hangar.

Over 300k puts you in the land of heavies up to 10/10 or so... so level stuff up.
Also, as HP said, 891k is an extremely large number for the weapons you are showing.
Run your best stuff and get on with it.

Up until the MM change the opponents levels were about the same. Prefer to ambush with a couple of beacons.
I have 2 Cossacks, 2 Pattons L4, 2 golems L2,L4 and a Grif L6
3 Geks (6) - waste of money 4 spirals (6) not effective
assorted guns, aphids, 2 okrans all between L4-6. Have tried to keep Bots and weapons close as suggested.

Hangar could be: Griff 6 - Orkans and Pinatas Patton 4 - All spirals or all aphids or all something Plasmahad - level him and the weapons up Buy another Griff - arm with Tulus and Pins - this wont cost you any gold Swap the Boas for a Leo with Thunder and Aphids or Pinatas or Magnums You will be essentially running a 6/6 hangar, working on getting it to 7/8 or so. The big monsters won't seem quite so scary when you are driving bigger bots yourself. But I am afraid with your stats, the new MM will not let you stay in what used to be high bronze any longer.

I kinda figured upgrading would be the answer. It seems that it is all about the hanger and not much about piloting these days.

I recently ran a bit of an experiment, close to 100 games with an all Patton hanger (4 slots).
For the last 50 I logged all my match results (I didn't think to do it when I started).
I learned quite a few things about MM playing that hanger, because I was "tiered down" against a lot of 3 slot players with a mix of heavies and mediums.
- Don't go full hanger depth unless your going to win. That means its 6 on 5, or huge beacon lead, early on. You want to place first when you win.
- If your going to loose, take out at least two bots to see if your going to win or not... try to make them last... don't throw bots into a bad fight.
- Because I had "options" on bots (4 vs 3) I could be picky about what I bring out on each map. However my hanger meant that Dead City was always going to be a loss.
- WP and Au bots are tide turners. Look at the HP on the Galahad vs one of your Pattons. Assuming that your taking damage at the same rate, your staying on the field 2x as long with that, vs the Patton. More time on the field = more damage.
