Not yet. If you're sifting through the forums and seeing a lot of cynicism, you need not look any further than the bot-shop real money prices to figure out why.

Not yet, but seems to be going that way. Average wait times are up a lot on iOS, hangars in various leagues seem weaker than they should be (indicating numbers higher up have lowered). Reasons for this are numerous.

No, last Facebook giveaway had 63k request in 2 hours. I do believe that players are finally holding onto their wallets.

Despite Pixonic's best efforts to bleed every last dollar out of this game, and driving away F2P players in the process... It's still a fun game.

There's a ton of people of this forum that will tell you yes but it's up to you at the end of the day..are you having fun? If not and you arent a fan of the direction Pix is taking the game, Id still suggest you tough it out and see how the new updates are for yourself. If a game ever starts to become more of a chore or something that's making you stressed or just plain unhappy, it's definitley time to take a break at the very least. Just my 2 cents.

The game is not dead yet. Is it circling the drain? Only time will tell. As sm94 said, it will ultimately be up to you. I've noticed some changes lately in Android Diamond I. Some matches take twice or thrice as long to find enough players. And if you watch the player indicator at the top of the UI, you'll quite often notice that there aren't a full twelve players until well after the match has started. And not all of it is due to players bailing. Matchmaker has never been very efficient. Lately, there are times that it is so bad that I have to turn the game off. Over the weekend, I came this close to deleting the game, it was so bad. There is a lot of screaming due to the recent announcements of modules update 3.8 and Workshop 2.0. There is a lot of mistrust, due to Pixonic's continued misleading of its players. Will this mark the end of War Robots? Probably not. However, depending upon player response, it could be another nail in a coffin that's already had a lot of nails pounded in to it. The final nail? Only time will tell. As the wise sage says, YMMV. Good luck, Pilot.

I don't know that blasting reds can ever not be fun.
The core of the Game is so good that PIX is having to pull out all the stops to fork it up..
I suggest that you ignore leagues. Ignore the meta. Ignore the developers very real attempts to get you to Spend a lot of Money trying to "keep up", because short of a down payment on a nice vacation cabin, you never will.
If your enjoying the game, sure spend a couple bucks. If you want to quit enjoying the game, spend a lot and fight your way up to champions. ( besides if you want to play against champs just get to silver)
Better yet, find weapon/bot combos you enjoy and play those. I would suggest not taking anything higher than 6/6 so you canplay in 6 pack league. Lots of skillbased play there I hear.
Oh and as far as waiting for the update and all the goodness coming with it...yes wait for it. That's right, wait... Just a little closer...?

Thing is, paying players feel the same way, except for the top .01%. You can only push people so far. If you try to "test" the boundaries, you'll find yourself without any customers at all. Some paying players ponied up pretty big when dash came out. They're expecting those bots to be the meta for an extended period of time, but pix is pushing it hard. Modules are another obvious money grab, and I won't play ball any more.

He can spend that amount twice and some more times. If you add modules he will try them out and buy all the first day. There are not many of this kind but worldwide... Pixonic would be stupid to not take advantage of this. The trick is to make that money but still have a good experience for the free and 10$ a month player. The game is certainly not dead. The numbers seem to be declining but on a very high level. It seems Pixonic has more than 200 people working on the game. That's a pretty good size not going down quickly.

Game ain't dead yet. The only numbers we have, estimated by some clever algorithms tell us, that the number of downloads and the average sales decline. There could be other reasons than a game on its death bed. In Europe since a few days, winter is finally over and people spend their time outside and less time in front of screens. If you have a hangar with some dash bots and some weapons like Scourge, you're still good to go. Why spend any money? See where this is going?
If you give crap about your league rating, you can still have a lot of fun. And fun is probably most important while gaming, right?

It certainly isn’t dead yet. Whether it is getting there or not is interesting. Dead = costs>revenue Last year’s financials included a huge revenue bump mostly as a result of the dashes being introduced. Revenue dropped from about 90K a day to 30K a day since and the downloads have also decreased by about 20%. I doubt they can keep going the way it is. IMO Pix must be resting their hopes on the next big money spinner……..”modules”. If modules fail than they might give it another shot by the next big money spinner initiative. Alternative they could shed staff and run the game as long as they can without investing much into it.
IMO the only thing that could hasten the process if they lose the player base. Subjective opinion to follow: I think they had a huge player base erosion . The leagues look really weak and sparse compared to what they were before. People are making it into champs without spending a single dime while having only 1000 wins (on IOS). But at the same time I reckon there are still enough people to keep it going for some time to come provided there is profit to be made.

The way that Pix is introducing newer/faster/bigger/better gear, you do wonder how new players can even last more than the first 5 minutes.
The bar keeps getting higher.
Still, far from dead.
Think of it like an engine. The old low compression clunker will keep chugging for ever. Pix keep adding turbo chargers, super chargers, nitrous, high compression, higher revs. Eventually the engine will blow.

No. Its on the ground and clawing feebly. Its pupils are dilated and its mouth is curving into a death masks sneer. Its tongue is out as it scratches its throat to try and let the air in. All while lying in a pool of its own blood mixed with the product of bladder control loss....
But hey! That new bulwark looks swell, dont it?!

The numbers seem to be declining but on a very high level. It seems Pixonic has more than 200 people working on the game. That's a pretty good size not going down quickly. Of course it's true. Just like in real life, there's an upper, lower and middle class. The Ferrari guys you mentioned are the extreme minority in War Robots, just like in real life. There are a ton of people with hundreds to spend, but don't have tens of thousands to spend. And yes they are dumb to milk the whales too much. Why? Because the middle class is insulating the lower class from the upper class right now. Because guys like me don't have any hope of keeping up with the whales because of the pace of new content releases and we're getting frustrated and leaving. Because I'm what the whales were eating for breakfast this morning and now that I'm out, they're going to feast on someone else... but since the middle tier is leaving, the MM will have no choice but to start feeding F2P guys to the whales. That's going to cause a death spiral where a ton of f2p players quit because the game isn't competitive or fun for them. After that the whales will quit because they'll only be playing against fellow whales, which defeats the whole point of being a whale in the first place. Most of this sounds a lot more dire than what you see in game right now. That's because I'm not describing where the game is at right now. I'm describing where it is going based on everything pix has released and based on their own history. The game isn't dead just yet, but pix is doing their best to make it happen. I finally uninstalled today. I'll linger on the forums a bit to see if they make any big changes, but there's a good chance I'm not coming back.

Personally I don't think it is. Pretty much any game nowadays has some type of money grab and this one is no different. Some players may be leaving but that doesn't mean new ones won't take their place...Don't get me wrong, some balancing aspects would be nice to certain bots but they aren't completely over powered if you have some decent teammates. Currently on Android Silver 1 I have to wait at most 12 seconds for a game. On steam it takes at least 40 seconds for Bronze 3... I think the longer wait time on Steam is mainly due to the game only having around a 53% positive review..90% of the negative reviews are the typical P2W comments but really what game ISN'T P2W nowadays? I have spent very little money on the game itself so far (less than $10) and I'm using Punisher/ Thunder Leo, x4 Magnum Patton (Will be replaced with a PDB Griffin soon), Molot/Nashorn Golem (I'm 1k components from a Tempest), and a RDB Griffin. I have 3200 gold saved up so far for 5th slot and I generally get top 3 every game unless there are some really op tankers on one side or the other. Don't have to spend money to be good...just have to learn how to use cover and corners well
