My current hangar:
8 Galahad w/ 8 Orkan 8 Pinatax2 8 Griff with 8 Taran/Magnums 8 Griff with 8 Pin/Tulumbas 8 Carnage with 8, 7 Thunders 8 Leo with 8 Zeus, 8 Magnumx3
And a Doc...been trading out various bots to see if/where it might fit, or even if.
Based on (excellent) advice I made some adjustments to my hangar and purchased a Carnage. It is a sure shot all star in my hangar almost every match. Then... To muddy the waters, I was extremely fortunate in that I won a Doc out of a 1k chest. I have leveled it to three so far (side note: GOOD LORD IT LEVELS SLOW) and run a bunch of different versions of it to try and figure out how to optimally use it. First challenge is the incredible squishyness of this bot. It simply cannot take a punch. Literally anything that hits it, hits it hard enough to make it oil it's diaper. Secondly, is getting the bot to be effective. Running Tulumbas was really clunky. The timer on the switcheroo and the tulumbas is really wonky. I tried running orkans, tarans, molots and combinations there of. Didnt try hydras, I don't have any.
It might be me, it might be the bot, might be both. Is anyone running a doc effectively? Can anyone give some insight as to what is a tactically proper way to employ a Doc in the field (with experience doing so?). I don't want to invest more lengthy upgrade timers to find out that it just doesnt get any better.
Also, I know some eyebrows might go up at the orkan/pinata Galahad, but don't knock it till you try it. It's been a superstar for me.

I ran mine as a Tulu Doc until switching up to Hydras. I did a piece on the blog about it today: geparddiary.com/2017/02/09/battle-stories-swings-and-roundabouts/I actually really liked the bot with Tulus. It's very much like a Pinata Gepard- you have a massive burst, then need to take cover while it reloads. You should also try to have your Quick Draw on cooldown as often as possible. Like, if you fire a burst and kill your opponent, don't wait to Quick Draw when you sight your next target, because that's going to keep you on cooldown longer. Quick Draw after the initial fire, even if you don't need the next salvo for a bit, so that you can have the best chance at doubling up on the next fire. Pixo's boilerplate for this guy calls him a "seasoned brawler." Don't believe it. He's fragile, but relatively fast. Set up shop behind cover. Just behind a building that skirts the courtyard in Shenzhen. A pillar in Canyon. Pop out, unload both salvos, then duck back. You're even within range of center beacon on Yama. It's all about positioning with the Tulus. If you can use the cooldown to stay mobile and nimble, and even nab a beacon or two, so much the better. I actually use the beacon runner mentality when playing Doc, although more of an opportunist for unguarded beacons rather than, say, a Gareth which can contest for one.

I just got a doc and tried tulu doc Lvl7, not bad I am really liking it. I'm experimenting with tulus/orkans, it has the Firepower but dies quickly. So far I'm liking tulus/orkans as there are more opportunities that people are not targeting me but my teammates.
I would either go tulus doc or hybrid of tulus and orkans

Lvl 10 doc 127000 health not too squishy. Tulus/okrans best set up for me The Doc is not squishy if played correctly. The Carnage and Galahad have far less HP. The Doc even has enough speed to backpedal short range splash 25-35m closer than a shielded Doc. A Carnage is dead against splash unless it has Rush available or until the energy shield bug is fixed. I play both Gal and Carnage. The Doc if played similar to the Gal/Carnage will out perform either in close, mid-range, and support fighting. I think the problem pilots have with the Doc is that the bot level is not 12 --- which is very important since that's the level where you will survive an L12 DB salvo. Unfirtunately, most pilots that have Docs don't have them at L12 yet, but they are regularly facing DB Griffs or DB Rhinos that have full L12 weapons --- there's nothing more that makes a bot look squishy than getting killed in 4-5 seconds (when you are at full HP) by DB that unloaded on you. My recommendations for anyone that has a Doc is to get it to max as soon as possible, but in meantime, run it close to your teammates with heavier bots or run it like you would your Galahad when stalking a DB Griff (come on, you know what I'm talking about here).
