This thread is for collecting the month's latest news and information on War Robots, disclosed to this community by Pixonic as part of the Pixonic Insiders program. Each update will have its own thread for discussion, this thread will be locked and pinned for convenience. Please note that as with anything unreleased, any and all content discussed here is subject to change at any point and without warning. Nothing is "guaranteed" until it is actually released.

1. Ancile double damage bug
The Ancile double damage bug will be fixed in the near future (if it hasn't been already), however, to compensate the shield regen will be cut by 1/3. The regen nerf applies to Fujin and Ancile only; Carnage regen remains the same.
So what does this equate to? If you were affected by the bug, you'll enjoy a 33% effective increase to both shield health and regeneration. Otherwise it's a 33% regeneration speed nerf.

1. Squad Clubbing
Pixonic is aware of an issue with the matchmaking system that is subject to exploit through squadding. With squads, the MM system is designed to take the rating of the highest player for purposes of determining opposition. In some cases, it may inadvertently be using the lowest instead (and be subject to exploit). There is a fix in the works to close this loophole.
2. Shields and damage
Pixonic clarified that damage that destroys a shield (say, on a Carnage) does not "carry over" to the robot. In other words, if that Carnage has 100 health left on its shield and gets hit with two Trident rockets, the first rocket will take down the shield but not damage the Carnage. The next rocket will, naturally.
3. Lancelot shield nerf
Pixonic felt that the Lancelot- with or without the Ancile- had become a little overpowered, even for a premium robot. Thus, a 10% nerf to the shield strength was implemented.
4. Leavers/Tankers
Pixonic is aware of the issue and community concern regarding people leaving matches to tank their rating. You may recall their recent social media poll about whether or not people leaving matches should be penalized. Although no details were disclosed, Pix confirmed that they will be implementing some form of protection for players against those abusing the system.
5. Power Hour abuse
Related to the previous point, Pixonic is aware that some players will "tank" their ratings before power hour and thus exploit the system. Again, a fix is in the works.
6. Measuring battlefield contribution
Pixonic mentioned that there will be a larger than usual update coming in the Spring, and they are discussing better ways to measure our ingame performance. Right now, damage dealt is a primary stat- that's what determines the rank on the table (as well as rewards). Moving away from strictly damage dealt, and looking for metrics that may more accurately measure a player's contribution to the game is a possible step.
7. Bot weight classes
Pixonic hinted that they are reviewing the traditional classifications of the bots (Light, Medium, and Heavy), and looking more at categorizing them by the roles they are designed to play on the battlefield.
8. No hidden nerf on Silver
Pixonic was asked about a possible hidden nerf to Silver generation based on some feedback, but confirmed there had been no change.
9. No hidden nerf on Orkans
As with the previous point, Pixonic confirmed there was no hidden nerf to Orkans.

1. Hangar diversity
Pixonic is aware that players want to have the ability to use different hangars in the game, rather than having to push a "main hangar" meta as far as possible. Being able to run a diversity of bots while still being competitive is a long-term goal.
2. Ecus
In light of the Ancile buff and shielded bots in general, Pixonic is exploring what can/should be done to raise the efficacy of the Ecu shield. Part of the challenge of the Ecu is that it is somewhat trickier than the other shielding options to use effectively. A "simple buff" might not be the answer, if an answer is determined to be needed.
3. Leagues and matchmaker
Pixonic confirmed that the upcoming Leagues system will take advantage of the current matchmaking system, rather than a "replacement" of the current matchmaking system.
4. Moving backwards
Pixonic acknowledges the issue some players experience when attempting to move their robot backwards. A fix is currently in development, and could possibly be in as early as the next update.
5. Social system
Pixonic mentioned that a new social system is in development, which will replace the current Facebook-dependent one.
