Here are some new and upcoming developments to the game, disclosed to this community by Pixonic as part of the Pixonic Insiders program.
1. Hangar diversity
Pixonic is aware that players want to have the ability to use different hangars in the game, rather than having to push a "main hangar" meta as far as possible. Being able to run a diversity of bots while still being competitive is a long-term goal.
2. Ecus
In light of the Ancile buff and shielded bots in general, Pixonic is exploring what can/should be done to raise the efficacy of the Ecu shield. Part of the challenge of the Ecu is that it is somewhat trickier than the other shielding options to use effectively. A "simple buff" might not be the answer, if an answer is determined to be needed.
3. Leagues and matchmaker
Pixonic confirmed that the upcoming Leagues system will take advantage of the current matchmaking system, rather than a "replacement" of the current matchmaking system.
4. Moving backwards
Pixonic acknowledges the issue some players experience when attempting to move their robot backwards. A fix is currently in development, and could possibly be in as early as the next update.
5. Social system
Pixonic mentioned that a new social system is in development, which will replace the current Facebook-dependent one.

Which, in turn, killed hangar diversity and punished people who invested their upgrade queue / Ag / Au / WSP in anything that wasn't end-game worthy. If this is now a long term goal, they sure as hell lost sight of it in the short term.

I remember a time when pixonic gave us no info on upcoming changes. and even if you wanted to ask a question about the game you were lucky if you even got a reply that is not the standard ones.
this pixonic insiders program is one of the best things that has happened to war robots since I've been playing.the fact that we get daily news about multiple subjects is insane.going from getting little to no info to this is a great big step up.
it really shows how much pixonic respects us as a community.
I don't see why you shouldn't join the forums probably the best place for anything war robots related
i thank all the people at pixonic and all the people who run this forum.you make hundreds of people happy everyday.

It's beyond our control, but I can say that the forum will get the skinny as quickly as we can get to our computers!

But imo it's great news after all. Pixo acknowledges what was and is said in one or two still active threads on this forum. The communication goes in two directions, not only one way. I think they make a big difference compared to many othrer companies out there. They have my sympathy and I'm really looking forward what the next updates will mean to the game.

This is something that perplexes me. They built this game and know it inside out, how did they not know a major fun aspect is playing the entire variety of bots? All those designs they've spent time and energy on, of course people want to use em. The game is so well crafted which contradicts missing something so obvious (to me at least). This should have been done with the new MM, not a long term goal. Is it known what the league system is? The bits I've seen only mention there will be something called a "league system" but not really what it'll entail. I'm thinking they haven't said anything definite and this #3 is only a reply to people speculating it's a MM replacement. I was hoping the league system was to solve #1 Hangar diversity but maybe not.

The part that sucks, is that as PIX has continued to screw up and degrade the game, we have tried to adapt. At what point does our level, stats, bot/weapon lvls, etc., work against us in a way that can only be fixed by starting completely over, or buying all new bots, cause we leveled up things too high. Oh well, let Trump and Putin do something stupid, and some of us wont have to worry about it due to "political embargos" or what have you.

I appreciate the work that goes into this forum and by the people that administer it. Sometimes, I don't take threads too seriously, get snarky sometimes or want to participate in others because I get tried of hearing the same complaints in different titled threads. But this thread shows somebody out there is trying to really help us and get us through the hurdles that have been thrown at the players lately. So I think we all owe these people a debt of gratitude. And any information from Pixonic is good information. Glad to see they stepped up.

They could be more specific about their plans, though. How long exactly is "long term"? As things are right now, I don't know if the community will be here in the "long term"

Give the Ecu a button and make it have Phalanx Mode where speed is reduced 25% instead of 20%. This way it has less efficiency compared to Shield-bots in terms of maneuverability on top of it's already lower HP

This way it has less efficiency compared to Shield-bots in terms of maneuverability on top of it's already lower HP No thats way to op if ecu got a buff like that and whats the point of Gareth and Galahad and think about if you put ecus on some robots you can have 2 abilitys eg cossak would be a even better flag capturer as they can just use Phalanx with the ecu and jump around

I have an idea for ECU.
Give it a special button that turns the physical shield into an energy one, it still only faces one side. If the physical shield breaks the energy breaks too.

The ancile still protects more, the energy ECU would be akin to the shields in Halo CE. It just gives the ECU more reason to be used.

How about if they add weapon hard points to the outside of the ecu shield with the balancing aspect being the weapon falls off when the ecu shield takes a certain percentage of damage like 50%. Then, they should make all hard points on bots that do not have a ecu shield not drop weapons before bot death. I'm looking at you, Patton!

I think that a good way of reworking Ecu shield would be that it gives more maximum HP to the bot instead of adding a shield to protect the side of the robot, I've seen this in a game called S.L.A.I from PS2, dont know if anyone have played that game, but reminds War Robots a little.

i like the idea of an ecu that has a bit more area coverage and that dosent fall off when it still has 90% of the ecu left. I am also interested to hear how you are manipulating the match maker to allow you to win pilot of the hour with 150 trophys
