...every-「fluffernutter」ing-where.
I would just like to take this moment and go on the record to say that my butt is completely hurt over the proliferation of stealth bots on the field. Jesus H. Christ...they're like cockaroaches in a greasy-spoon diner. But these aren't just any cockaroaches...they are special Florida cockaroaches. The flying ones that are the size of a Chinook.
So a bot that can close the gap instantly, blast you with 4 mediums or a heavy and 2 mediums or god knows what else, and you can't shoot back for six seconds. Unless you have a weapon with target lock, in which case you can't shoot back for nine friggin' seconds.
It wasn't too bad when they were $300. But now everybody and his damn 「slow」 cousin has one. I look across the field trying to find a target and all I see if that 「fluffernutter」ing stealth symbol.
Too. Damn. Many.
Ok, /rant.

You can shoot back and if you have shotguns, orkans, tulus or pins you can hit them and even destroy them. I learnt a lesson with my Spectre I jumped (so I was stealthed) up to the height of the top of the dreadnought and a orkan / pinata griff destroyed me. I sat there with my mouth open wondering how, now I know I was at the same height as him every rocket he fired hit and killed my bot.

I sat there with my mouth open wondering how, now I know I was at the same height as him every rocket he fired hit and killed my bot. Has happened to me also many times . If the new targeting system is implemented as they described (I'am not playing on the test servers), then this problem will be reduced and for most of the cases, our stealth bot will be indirectly buffed . If I understand the new targeting system correctly, this elevation/tilt feature will now extend beyond the range of the guns. So if I'am facing your stealth bot at 320m and there is another red 600m away, just a bit above or below my guns will tilt up or down. The box is quite big, most maps are not completely level and those which mostly are, have points of height difference, so it will serve well the stealth bots in most cases . You can think of all sorts of examples: the flat surface of Springfield; somebody will be above you. Jumping for D at Yamantau with a teammate behind you halfway up the ramp; as soon as you land all guns will be tilted below you and even if there is a sniper behind and above you, the targeting system will select the closest target. If the sniper behind you is only target he will be probably above you . Also Spectre has a small profile, so it won't take much to fire over you as for the Griffins they will have their Orks going up and down. It will have it's downside in some cases but I think it's mostly good for the stealth.

Similar to recent changes to Scourge damage at different ranges. I usually shoot stealth bots that are not at my level by targeting another red that is in the same level as the stealthed bot from my perspective. I found it very effective when using jumping bots, when i can get in the right angle with a jump right. New mechanics will make this tactic for me even easier, especially for close range weapons, because i can shoot my Tarans, Orks etc. in the right angle even when the locked target is 1km away, which wasn't possible before.

Good point. I was thinking that those who snipe at Yamantau can provide the target you are talking about. If you are below the central beacon height level, you can just target the sniper at the back, lock and get the weapons elevated to the angle you want. I said mostly good for the stealth cause when you have many ifs and situations under which...the whole thing usually doesn't go well. Just a feeling. There is a solution though : Provide it as an option in the menu like you have the lock option. Default setting is auto height adjustment and if you don't feel comfortable with it disable it. I would prefer a button but it's probably too much.

Step 1: Lock onto another a different target than the stealthed bot at the same altitude.
Step 2: Fire at stealthed robot.
Step 3: Profit.
There's still a lot of skill involved in the descend meta, height management is a huge part of the game now and a big reason I've been playing the shotgun mercury and have replaced 2 tarans on my ember inquisitor with storms, because I can kill those ?fluffy bunny?ers in stealth pretty easily.
