Both, one for physical shields, other for energy shields.

I love the db Griff but for some reason I tend to always survive longer and do more damage in my plasma Griff.

Like rippington, jumping ing with the db is fun, but i too apply more damage, while lasting longer with the plasma

I'm running PDB griff now. Way too squishy. The moment you see shielded opponent you're done. Not recommended. PS: why the hell am I even upgrading it lol

Unfortunately I would say a DB or RDB build is necessary in your hangar for dealing with physical shields.

One of each ... at least Plasma Griff to obliterate energy shields... a carnage is toast if it faces this fella Tulum/Pin 500m range lack of Au means I am running 4 Griffs & a Leo (keep spending Au on weps & couple of Gepards that are gathering dust, doh!) the Plasma Griff can deal huge amounts of damage in a fairly constant stream but the range of the Tulum/pin Griff makes it very useful (and being Ag- very cheap) I have another with Orkan/Aphid Tarans are nice weps anyway - I don't think you'd regret buying them - they work(ed) well with lots of other bots ...

I ran both a DB & PDB Griff for a while, but I've found the DB to be much more effective all-around. now I run a DB & Hellfire Griff. plasma can do very well, but with all the shielded bots, you might as well spend the WSP on tridents and carnages. that said, the reason I think the DB does better is because of the low HP of the griff. if you go up against something, shield or no shield, you have a chance at destroying that bot much, much quicker with a DB, which reduces the time you'll be standing there trading blows with him. so I prefer plasma on shielded-bots, and prefer my DB on low-HP-and-no-shield-bots
